Pegasus Airlines, a prominent Turkish low-cost carrier, is set to expand its network by introducing a new flight route to Spain this September. The airline will operate flights between Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport and Seville Airport, marking a significant development as this route is currently not serviced on a regular basis, according to data from OAG Schedules Analyser. The service will commence on September 24, with flights scheduled for Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport, located on the Asian side of Istanbul, is 32 km southeast of the city center. This bustling hub, which functions as the primary base for Pegasus Airlines, catered to a record 37 million travelers in 2023 alone, with international traffic soaring from 5.3 million in 2020 to nearly 19.4 million in 2023.

Seville Airport, the main gateway to Western Andalusia and its neighboring provinces, ranks as the sixth busiest inland airport in Spain. With a network that includes 42 destinations across Europe and Northern Africa, it handled over 7.5 million passengers in 2019, showcasing its role as a critical connective node in southern Spain.
