Princess Cruises proudly announces the delivery of Sun Princess, a brand-new vessel crafted exclusively by Fincantieri for the Princess brand. Weighing in at 175,500 tons and accommodating 4,300 guests, Sun Princess stands as a pinnacle of luxury and elegance, epitomizing the essence of the iconic Love Boat legacy. Boasting an impressive array of entertainment options and activities, alongside opulent staterooms and suites spanning various categories, this ship promises an unforgettable experience for every passenger. Notably, with the highest number of balconies among Princess ships, guests can bask in the Mediterranean and Caribbean sunshine from the comfort of their own quarters. The Dome, inspired by Santorini’s terraces, and the technologically advanced Princess Theater, known as the Arena!, offer unparalleled entertainment venues.
While Sun Princess prepares to embark on its inaugural voyage, the cruise line acknowledges the need for additional technical work to ensure an exceptional vacation experience. Consequently, the February 18 voyage stands canceled, with the maiden voyage rescheduled for February 28 from Rome. Guests booked on the initial voyage will receive full refunds of their cruise fare and any pre-purchased onboard services, along with a 50% future cruise credit (FCC) for use on a future Princess voyage.
In addition to reimbursing select travel costs for guests who have already arrived or planned to travel, Princess Cruises is also covering certain flight-related change fees. Furthermore, the cruise brand remains committed to safeguarding travel agent commissions, recognizing their integral role in the booking process and customer satisfaction.
