Malaysia and Southeast Asia Power Capital A Q2 2026 Growth as Revenue Jumps and Teleport ADE Accelerate

Capital A Berhad delivered a stronger second quarter in 2026 as expansion across aircraft engineering, logistics and digital travel helped the Malaysian group strengthen its financial position following the disposal of its aviation business.
For the three months ended 30 June 2026, Capital A generated RM809 million in revenue, representing growth of 9% year on year. Quarterly EBITDA reached RM108 million, while net operating profit stood at RM38.5 million. Profit after tax reached RM25 million, giving the group its second consecutive profitable quarter following its aviation restructuring.

The performance provides an important indication of how Capital A is evolving beyond its former airline-centred structure. Engineering specialist Asia Digital Engineering, or ADE, and logistics company Teleport have emerged as major growth engines, while AirAsia MOVE, AirAsia Next and Santan continue to broaden the group’s exposure to travel technology, loyalty, licensing and food services.

Capital A Builds a New Growth Model After Aviation Restructuring
Capital A entered 2026 with a significantly different corporate structure. The company completed the disposal of its aviation businesses, AirAsia Berhad and AirAsia Aviation Group Limited, to AirAsia Group Berhad in January. It also officially exited PN17 status.
This means Capital A’s latest earnings increasingly reflect the performance of businesses outside direct airline operations.

Operational indicators also showed growing workshop activity. Completed workshop orders increased 23% year on year during the quarter. ADE completed 13 base maintenance checks, although this was lower than the previous year because heavier maintenance checks required aircraft to remain in hangars for longer periods.

Capital A Prepares for a More Challenging Second Half
Capital A’s Q2 numbers demonstrate how its earnings profile is changing following the aviation disposal. Instead of relying primarily on airline operations, the company is building around engineering, logistics, digital travel, intellectual property, loyalty and consumer services.
Management has nevertheless warned that the second half of 2026 will require careful execution. Geopolitical uncertainty and broader travel trends could continue to affect demand, while the third quarter is traditionally a weaker travel period.
The company is therefore focusing capital on businesses capable of expanding their third-party customer bases. ADE is developing additional maintenance capacity, while Teleport is targeting high-yield logistics corridors connecting markets including China, the Middle East, Europe and Oceania.
The Q2 performance consequently represents more than a quarterly earnings improvement. It shows the early financial shape of the restructured Capital A. With RM809 million in quarterly revenue, RM108 million in EBITDA and RM25 million in profit after tax, the group is entering the second half of 2026 with ADE and Teleport firmly established as its principal growth engines.
