Savills, representing Richardson Hotels, is offering The Falmouth Hotel in Falmouth, Cornwall, and the Abbey Sands Hotel in Torquay, Devon, for sale. The Falmouth Hotel is priced at over £7.5 million, while the Abbey Sands Hotel is priced at £1.95 million.

Keith Richardson, the owner of Richardson Hotels, has decided strategically to sell these properties as part of his retirement plan. Both hotels can be purchased individually or as a combined portfolio.

The Falmouth Hotel, a Grade II Listed property situated on Falmouth’s seafront, boasts stunning sea views and features 71 en suite bedrooms. Its ground floor includes the Castle restaurant and bar, which holds an AA rosette and offers expansive views. The hotel also includes three function rooms accommodating up to 170 guests collectively. The spa facilities include a fully equipped gym, indoor heated swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, and various treatment rooms. External amenities comprise gardens, a terrace, and parking. The site spans approximately three acres and holds potential for expansion with consent granted previously for an additional 16 rooms.

The Abbey Sands Hotel, located on Belgrave Road in Torquay, also offers sea views from several of its 47 bedrooms. Plans are underway to increase the room count to 52 by converting unused space into five additional rooms. The hotel features the Riviera Restaurant and Lawns Lounge Bar with seating for around 80 guests and access to a spacious terrace. Additionally, there’s a large ballroom accommodating up to 200 guests, another function room, an indoor swimming pool, and gardens with an external swimming pool.
