Marriott International has partnered with the NFL to create player-curated City Guides through the Marriott Bonvoy program. With these guides, travelers can now experience the culture and sightseeing in the cities hosting NFL games, beyond the stadiums. NFL players can best explain local football culture, assimilate fans, and recommend best places. These City Guides also include recommendations for travelers to enjoy hidden gems in the community.
The Marriott Bonvoy City Guides feature every US and international destination hosting an NFL game during the season, including global cities such as Melbourne, Rio de Janeiro, Mexico City, London, Paris and Madrid. The guides include personal recommendations from current and former NFL stars, including Cooper Kupp, Jordan Mailata, Fred Warner and Todd Gurley, highlighting favourite restaurants, local traditions, memorable experiences and places that have created special connections for the players during their football careers.

Designed in partnership with social media artist Jeff Cole, each City Guide presents a unique view of its destination by showcasing the lifestyle, character and local experiences that make every NFL city distinctive. The initiative aims to encourage travelling supporters to spend more time exploring the communities surrounding game venues rather than focusing only on match day.
Throughout the NFL season, Marriott International will continue bringing these player perspectives to life through exclusive hotel experiences, a new 10-episode content series featuring selected NFL players in their destination cities and special opportunities available through Marriott Bonvoy Moments. The platform enables members to redeem points for exclusive experiences across sports, entertainment and lifestyle categories.

In addition, fans can access specially created City Guide travel packages in selected NFL host markets. These packages combine key elements of the game-day journey, including match tickets, Marriott hotel stays, local activities and destination experiences, allowing supporters to enjoy a complete football-inspired getaway.
Through this initiative, Marriott International continues to strengthen its role in sports tourism by combining hospitality, travel and the global passion surrounding the NFL, creating new ways for fans to connect with cities and experiences beyond the field.
“Marriott Bonvoy opens the door for travelers to explore the world through an extraordinary portfolio of hotels, experiences and destinations,” said Peggy Roe, Executive Vice President and Chief Customer Officer, Marriott International. “Now, traveling fans who go to incredible lengths to see their favorite team play can experience NFL cities through the lens of those very same players. It is another way we are helping members turn their passions into meaningful travel experiences and lasting memories.”
As part of its year-round NFL partnership, Marriott Bonvoy is bringing back its popular Super Bowl Sleepover Suite, offering one selected winner the rare opportunity to stay overnight inside SoFi Stadium in a luxury suite transformed into a hotel room before the biggest event on the American football calendar. The exclusive experience gives a fan the chance to be at the heart of Super Bowl excitement in a setting unlike any traditional hotel stay.

Alongside the City Guides initiative, Marriott Bonvoy has introduced its latest NFL advertising campaign, Long-Distance NFL Relationships, celebrating the dedication of millions of supporters who remain connected to their favourite teams regardless of where they live. Building on the brand’s Where Gameday Checks In platform, the campaign highlights how Marriott Bonvoy helps fans stay closer to the teams they support through its extensive hotel network located near almost every NFL stadium. The campaign delivers a clear message that wherever fans travel to follow their teams, Marriott Bonvoy is ready to welcome them.
The first collection of Marriott Bonvoy City Guides features exclusive local recommendations and insider maps from NFL stars including Cooper Kupp in Seattle, Jordan Mailata in Philadelphia, Jerry Rice in Mexico City, Mark Ingram II in Rio de Janeiro and Todd Gurley in Melbourne. Additional guides will be released throughout the season, including destination insights from Fred Warner in San Francisco, Kyle Hamilton in Baltimore and other NFL personalities.
Fans can explore all 37 player-created City Guides through the Marriott Bonvoy NFL Travel Hub, discover exclusive opportunities through Marriott Bonvoy Moments and participate in the Super Bowl Sleepover Suite sweepstakes. The platform provides supporters with new ways to combine their passion for football with unique travel experiences.
Through its global hotel network, exclusive events and fan-focused initiatives, Marriott Bonvoy continues to expand the connection between sports, hospitality and travel. The programme offers members access to a wide range of hotels, experiences and benefits designed to make every journey more memorable.
