Saga cruises has extended the current suspension of travel operations following publication of a new roadmap out of lockdown for the U.K. The company has informed that agents holiday and cruise operations will now begin on May 17 and June 27, respectively. The cruise mentioned that the health and wellbeing of guests and crew is the number one priority and hence the decision to extend the suspension has been undertaken against that backdrop.
A spokesperson for Saga said in a statement that the health and safety of guests and crew has been the company’s number one priority and throughout the pandemic it has made all decisions with their wellbeing in mind. It was informed that following the release of the roadmap out of lockdown, the cruise line have taken the decision to delay the resumption of holiday and cruise operations.
As a part of the decision, the inaugural cruise of Spirit of Adventure has been moved to July 26 and all guests who have been impacted by these changes have already been contacted and options are currently being discussed with them.
