Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Tourism, Ahmed Al-Khateeb, inaugurated the Saudi Travel Festival at Beijing’s Tiantan Park on Thursday. This event, running from October 18 to 26, is part of the kingdom’s initiative to attract more Chinese tourists, offering them an immersive dive into Saudi Arabia’s rich cultural heritage.

The festival presents an engaging experience, featuring interactive booths that showcase iconic Saudi landmarks like Diriyah, AlUla, and Al Baha. Visitors can enjoy live performances, traditional music, and dance, along with exclusive winter holiday travel promotions. Additionally, they can witness demonstrations of sadu weaving, a centuries-old Saudi craft, giving them a glimpse into the kingdom’s artistic traditions.
Saudi Arabia has also simplified its visa process by offering an easy-to-use e-visa system. Connectivity between China and Saudi Arabia has significantly improved, with direct flights from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen to Jeddah, Riyadh, and Dammam, serviced by airlines such as Saudia, Air China, China Eastern, and China Southern. In addition, Cathay Pacific is launching a new route between Hong Kong and Riyadh on October 28.
