Seychelles Tourism expands visibility and partnerships in Turkey
Seychelles Tourism actively joined the 17th Tourism Trade International Fair and Congress in December 2023, centered around the theme “Start Travelling the World Here.” Held in Izmir, Turkey, the event united global tourism professionals.
With fervent participation, Tourism Seychelles enlivened the ambiance by setting up a 12-square-meter booth, showcasing the unique charm of the Seychelles archipelago. The occasion witnessed over 5000 B2B meetings, fostering connections within the tourism industry. Notably, more than 170 international buyers and direct consumers interacted with Tourism Seychelles representatives, Mrs. Amia Jovanovic-Desir and Mrs. Tracy Muntanga.
The primary objective of Seychelles’ participation was to bolster destination awareness, visibility, and drive interest in traveling to Seychelles. Their stand, adorned with captivating images, highlighted the iconic Coco-de-Mer, enchanting underwater vistas, and scenic beaches framed by granite boulders, setting Seychelles apart and attracting attention from tour operators and visitors alike.
Recognizing a lack of knowledge about Seychelles, especially its geographical location, Tourism Seychelles provided attendees with destination videos and presentations to illuminate the attractions and offerings.
Moreover, the fair facilitated connections with prominent media partners, paving the way for future coverage and features on Seychelles. Invitations are in the pipeline for coverage in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, and other potential growth cities.
Plans are in progress to heighten promotional activities in key Turkish cities to boost interest and demand for traveling to Seychelles. Consistent training for tour operators and agents remains pivotal in stimulating demand for travel to the islands.
Tourism Seychelles perceives its participation in the Izmir fair as a significant success, yielding valuable insights, forging partnerships, and committing to elevate Seychelles’ presence in the Turkish travel market. As the tourism landscape evolves, Tourism Seychelles remains devoted to continual enhancement and collaboration with industry stakeholders.
