Singapore Airlines is set to restore its pre-pandemic service level, offering four daily flights at Perth Airport starting from Sunday, March 31, 2024. Kate Holsgrove, Perth Airport’s Chief Commercial and Aviation Officer, remarked on the enduring 57-year relationship between Perth Airport and Singapore Airlines, highlighting its ongoing expansion.

Singapore Airlines leads at Perth Airport as the top international carrier in terms of seating capacity, providing over 930,000 seats annually to the Perth region.

The airline has played a pivotal role in enhancing Western Australia’s connections with Singapore in business, education, trade, and tourism sectors.

Singapore has emerged as Western Australia’s second-largest source of international visitors, contributing $260 million in visitor spending to the local economy last year.

With its global network, the airline has been a key connector between Western Australia and the rest of the world. The increased flight frequency will offer West Australians more travel options to various cities across Asia, Europe, and the USA through its Singapore hub.

Additionally, the airline’s commitment to the Perth and Western Australian market is underscored by the recent inauguration of a new SilverKris Lounge in Perth.

Louis Arul, SIA Regional Vice President for South West Pacific, affirmed Perth’s critical role in the airline’s international network.

“We are excited to return to pre-pandemic flight schedules as travel demand to and from Perth continues to be robust,” Mr Arul said.

“We are also pleased to offer travellers from Perth our brand new SilverKris Lounge at Perth International Airport, which boasts additional space, enhanced facilities and a range of new dining options to enjoy.”

The airline will add a fourth daily flight, deploying an Airbus A350-900 that has a seating capacity of 303, including 40 business class seats and 263 economy class seats. This expansion will introduce an additional 220,584 seats to the Perth market each year.
