Taiwan's Tourism

In a dynamic initiative celebrating the richness and diversity of The Heart of Asia, Taiwan’s innovative Tourism Unions are poised to captivate global travelers by showcasing the distinctive charms beyond Taipei’s bustling streets. These unions, forged through collaboration among local industries, government bodies, and academic institutions, spotlight Taiwan’s multifaceted appeal, ranging from its vibrant cultural tapestry to its breathtaking natural wonders.

In the northern region, the Crown Coast and Great Northeast Tourism Unions unveil a treasure trove of natural marvels and deep-rooted cultural legacies. Notable attractions include the remarkable geological formations of Yehliu Geopark, the nostalgic allure of Jiufen’s historic streets, and the bustling maritime history of Keelung’s port city.

Western Taiwan comes alive through the Taichung-Changhua and Hsinchu-Miaoli Unions, showcasing the area’s cultural dynamism and serene landscapes. From the vibrant artistry of Rainbow Village to the well-preserved architecture of Lukang Old Street, and the immersive experiences in traditional Hakka culture at Beipu Old Street, visitors are promised an enriching cultural journey.

The East Coast and Hualien Tourism Unions unveil Eastern Taiwan’s dramatic landscapes and rich heritage. From the majestic marble cliffs of Taroko Gorge to the indigenous cultural experiences at the Amis Folk Center and the tranquil beauty of the East Coast Scenic Area, travelers are offered unforgettable retreats.

Southern Taiwan, represented by the Pingtung, Great Siraya, and Kaohsiung Tourism Unions, boasts inviting beaches, cultural landscapes, and spiritual sites. The pristine sands of Kenting National Park, the grandeur of Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum, and the natural beauty of Siraya National Scenic Area showcase the region’s diverse offerings.

These tourism unions serve as a glimpse into Taiwan’s vast offerings. The Taiwan Tourism Administration’s website now provides easy access to information on each union and its attractions, simplifying travel planning for visitors and advisors alike. Travelers are encouraged to embark on multiple journeys to Taiwan, ensuring a thorough exploration of each unique locale.
