sales assignment started in the city of Changsha and was followed in the cities of Chengdu, Lanzhou and

The mission was commanded by the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Honourable Mr. Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan. The Malaysian delegation that took part in the sales mission includes 58 establishments which consist of hotels and resorts, owners of tourism products, travel agents, Malaysia-based airlines and a representative of the state tourism board.

The second succession of Tourism Malaysia’s sales assignment to China was a continuance of the listing of
publicity programmes for the Chinese market this year.

Tourism Malaysia first started its sales task to China soon after the country’s global border reopened in
February. The first sales mission happened this year from 6th to 15th April, covering Guangzhou, Xiamen,
Beijing and Shanghai.

Mr. Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan said that besides nurturing assurance in Chinese tourists to come back to
Malaysia, they anticipate that this sales mission delivers a platform for the industry community to meet, give-and-take concepts and bounce back even more robust. He said that they are continuously finding out additional associations to attract more visitors to delight in Malaysia’s spectacles and amusements.
