The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Iraq along with the United States Agency for
International Development (USAID) united with the tourism ministry in the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and revealed the ‘reform roadmap,’ which is an innovative strategy to invigorate tourism in the area.

The Kurdistan area of Iraq is the most well-known place of travel in Iraq, where vegetation and scenic
mountains are situated.

In this area, tourism and hospitality segments have appeared as important sectors of financial development and work.

The UNDP demonstrated that this reform roadmap recognizes areas that are most significant for
maintainable and positive tourism expansion in Iraqi Kurdistan.

The reform roadmap emphasizes on references with major influence on the tourism segment, comprising
tourism regulation, rules and procedures, advertising and evolving tourism places and products.

The roadmap delivers direction on how to encourage private segment funding with the help of diverse
funding modalities like public-private associations for the growth of tourism places and products, as per the UNDP.
