The Hard Rock Hotel Malta has opened on St. Julian’s, St. George’s Bay, and will offer Malta’s first high-end, five-star* lifestyle quality accommodation. This guitar smash ceremony was the first of its kind in Malta followed by the opening of the first Hard Rock Malta Hotel. Positioned in the vibrant St. George’s Bay, the new hotel is located just 20 minutes from Malta International Airport and offers easy access to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Valletta. The grand opening brought together distinguished guests from Malta, Hard Rock executives, business partners and international personalities including Leomie Anderson, Corinna Brown, Gizzi Erskine and Arielle Free. The celebration showcased Malta’s vibrant entertainment scene with performances from some of the island’s leading artists, including Aiden, Malta’s Eurovision 2026 representative, best-selling female singer Ira Losco and singer Shaun Farrugia.
The event also featured a unique artistic swimming performance in the hotel’s signature guitar-shaped pool, highlighting the property’s distinctive design and entertainment focus. The evening concluded with guests celebrating into the night with a live DJ set from local favourite J Joy, marking the official arrival of Hard Rock’s legendary hospitality experience in Malta.
