Dubai Expands Sports and Wellness Tourism as Club 15 Brings New 15,000-Square-Metre Lifestyle Destination to Al Quoz
Dubai is expanding its sports and wellness landscape in October 2026 with the arrival of Club 15, a new 15,000-square-metre integrated sports and lifestyle destination in Al Quoz designed to combine fitness, competitive sport, recovery, family recreation and social experiences within one large complex. The development arrives as Dubai continues to strengthen its international positioning around active living, sporting events and wellness experiences alongside its established leisure and business tourism sectors.
Club 15 Creates a New Sports and Lifestyle Hub in Dubai
Spread across two levels, Club 15 has been developed as a multi-purpose destination rather than a conventional fitness centre. Its planned mix of sporting, recovery and leisure facilities could make it relevant to residents as well as visitors seeking active experiences while staying in Dubai.
The development includes dedicated strength and cardio areas alongside spaces for Reformer Pilates, high-intensity interval training, boxing, yoga and functional training. Rooftop training space further expands the range of activities available within the complex. The scale of the project is particularly significant. At approximately 15,000 square metres, the venue brings multiple sporting disciplines together under one roof, supporting Dubai’s broader expansion of indoor and year-round fitness infrastructure.
Padel, Basketball and Swimming Strengthen the Sports Offering
Racquet sports will form an important part of the facility. Club 15 is set to feature seven professional indoor padel courts, with ceilings reaching approximately 15 metres. Padel has become an increasingly visible component of Dubai’s recreational sports landscape, and the city’s official tourism platform already promotes padel alongside other active experiences available to visitors. Dubai also offers a wide selection of indoor sporting facilities covering basketball, tennis, badminton, cricket, climbing and other activities.

Club 15 will add international-standard full-size basketball courts to its sporting infrastructure. A 25-metre heated semi-Olympic swimming pool will provide another training and recreational option, creating a broader proposition for visitors who want multiple activities at a single location. This combination allows the complex to serve different audiences, ranging from regular gym users and amateur athletes to families and people seeking structured training.
Wellness and Recovery Become Central to the Experience
The development also reflects the growing convergence between fitness and wellness. Club 15 plans to provide a range of recovery facilities, including ice baths, cold therapy, hydrotherapy jacuzzi facilities and an infrared sauna. A 250-square-metre physiotherapy clinic will complement these services, bringing physical recovery closer to the sporting facilities.

The emphasis is consistent with Dubai’s increasingly diverse wellness proposition. Dubai’s official tourism platform currently promotes fitness spaces, spa experiences, recovery facilities, contrast therapies, healthy dining and outdoor activities as components of the destination’s wider wellness offering. For the travel sector, developments combining exercise and recovery can broaden the experiences available to visitors who increasingly incorporate health and physical activity into their holidays. Club 15 therefore adds another product to Dubai’s existing portfolio rather than operating purely as a traditional local gym.
Family Activities Expand Club 15 Beyond Fitness
Club 15 is also being positioned for families. Dedicated children’s facilities are expected to include parkour, gymnastics and youth academies, allowing younger visitors to participate in structured physical activities. Other lifestyle elements will broaden the venue further. Premium lounges, a gaming lounge and a podcast studio are included in the concept, while food and social spaces are intended to encourage visitors to remain within the destination beyond their training sessions.

A digital platform will support bookings, events and loyalty services, integrating the physical venue with an online system for managing different activities. The combination illustrates how large sports facilities are evolving into lifestyle destinations where recreation, wellness, hospitality and social interaction operate together.
Al Quoz Location Adds to Dubai’s Growing Leisure Landscape
Club 15’s location in Al Quoz places it within one of Dubai’s established urban districts and close to important transport corridors serving different parts of the city. The development is positioned with access towards areas including Dubai Hills and Sheikh Zayed Road, while more than 300 dedicated parking spaces are planned.
Al Quoz already accommodates several indoor recreation and fitness concepts, including padel, wellness and climbing facilities promoted through Dubai’s official visitor platform. The new project therefore strengthens an existing cluster of active leisure experiences while substantially increasing the range of sports and recovery facilities available within one development.
Dubai Builds Wider Momentum Around Sports and Active Tourism
The opening comes during a period of continued investment in Dubai’s sports ecosystem. The Dubai Sports Sector Strategic Plan 2033 is intended to strengthen infrastructure, international events, community participation and the wider sports economy as the emirate seeks to reinforce its position as a global sporting centre. Dubai is also preparing for the tenth edition of the Dubai Fitness Challenge, scheduled from 31 October to 29 November 2026. The citywide programme encourages residents and visitors to complete 30 minutes of activity each day for 30 days and includes major events alongside fitness villages, hubs, classes and community activities.
The tourism backdrop is substantial. Dubai welcomed a record 19.59 million international overnight visitors in 2025, representing growth of 5% from 2024, while hotel occupancy reached 80.7%. Major events, leisure experiences and sports programming remain part of the destination’s broader tourism strategy. Against that environment, Club 15 adds another layer to Dubai’s visitor economy by connecting sport with wellness, recreation and lifestyle experiences. While there are no official projections showing how many international tourists the complex will attract, its October opening expands the range of year-round active experiences available in the emirate and reinforces Dubai’s continuing development as a destination where sport and wellness form an increasingly visible part of the tourism proposition.
