Wizz Air Launches New Direct Flight from London Gatwick to Varna, Bulgaria

Wizz Air, the largest airline in Europe and recognized globally for its sustainability, has announced a new summer route from London Gatwick Airport to Varna, Bulgaria. This route will feature flights three times a week—on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. This addition complements the existing five weekly flights from London Luton Airport, enabling daily service between London and Varna.

The new flights will commence on June 18th, 2024, and are available with fares starting at £26.99. Tickets can now be purchased via the Wizz Air website or through their mobile app.

Varna, known as the historical maritime capital of Bulgaria and the nation’s third-largest city, lies on the Black Sea coast. It serves as a port, naval base, and seaside resort, offering numerous attractions for UK travelers. The city features a 32km long coastline with over 22 beaches, presenting an excellent vacation alternative for this summer.

History enthusiasts will find plenty to explore in Varna, including the city’s Archaeological Museum and the Roman Thermae Baths, which are the largest in Bulgaria and rank fourth largest in Europe. Visitors can also enjoy the city’s lush green spaces, such as the renowned Primorski Park.
