Agoda has named actor and creator Riisa Naka as its new brand ambassador for Japan, placing her at the centre of its nationwide ‘GO GO with Agoda!’ campaign. Launched on 1 October 2026, the campaign encourages travellers to move beyond thinking about their next getaway and start turning those plans into real journeys.

The digital travel platform is operated by Singapore-headquartered Agoda Company Pte. Ltd., led by CEO Omri Morgenshtern. Through the campaign, Agoda brings together Naka’s lively personality, playful storytelling and its broad choice of travel options to make planning a trip feel more approachable.

Naka’s appeal reaches audiences across generations through her acting career. Alongside her screen work, she has developed a close connection with followers through social media, where her content offers a more personal and relatable side of her public presence.

Her upbeat energy and down-to-earth manner reflect the campaign’s central message: travel should feel achievable. By bringing those qualities to the campaign, Naka helps present trip planning as something inviting rather than daunting. The creative approach aims to give travellers the confidence to act on their ideas, whether they are exploring possible destinations or choosing somewhere to stay.

Japanese Entertainment and Folklore Bring Travel Ideas to Life

The television commercial draws on recognisable features of Japanese entertainment and travel culture. Naka appears in several playful scenarios, including a storyline inspired by Japanese tokusatsu entertainment and another involving hot springs and a kappa, a mythical water creature.

Beyond the television commercial, Naka will appear in shorter promotional pieces highlighting distinctive destinations within Japan, accommodation choices and the value available through Agoda.

Humour connects the different storylines, presenting the platform’s travel selection in an engaging way. The repeated ‘A-GO-DA!’ sound and ‘GO GO with Agoda!’ call to action give the campaign a consistent identity, linking its varied scenes through a shared invitation to start planning a trip.

Kris Suebjaklap, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Agoda, shared: “We know Japanese
travelers want to explore more of their own country, but sometimes the planning just gets in the
way. This campaign is all about removing that friction and getting people excited to actually book.
We are delighted to have Riisa Naka on board because her energy and genuine love for
discovery are contagious. Whether it’s a hot spring escape or a ryokan experience, we
understand that every Japanese traveler has their own idea of a perfect trip, and Agoda is here
to make finding and booking those stays effortless. Our goal with this campaign is simple: help
more people go from ‘I’ve been thinking about a trip’ to ‘I’m booking it right now,’ and enjoy the
whole journey with Agoda.”
