Air France has introduced new premium lounges to enhance the international travel experience starting with the Frankfurt Airport. These lounges began service on September 1, 2026, and offer travelers a place to relax before future flights. The lounges are a combination of comfort and luxury and offer travelers a place to relax using French design and hospitality. These lounges are located in one of the more heavily used travel air hubs in Europe.
The new lounge is located in Frankfurt Airport’s Terminal 3, which officially opened earlier in 2026, and represents Air France’s growing focus on strengthening its presence across major European markets. Developed in collaboration with Global Lounge Network, the facility has been designed to offer travellers a peaceful space to relax, work or enjoy a premium dining experience before their flights.

Available daily from 5:00 a.m. until 9:30 p.m., the lounge welcomes eligible Air France Business Class customers, Flying Blue Elite Plus members, and qualifying passengers travelling with KLM and SkyTeam alliance partners. The opening adds a new premium touchpoint for passengers connecting through Frankfurt or continuing their journey through Air France’s global network via Paris-Charles de Gaulle.
Covering almost 500 square metres, the new Frankfurt lounge has been created as a reflection of Air France’s brand identity, blending contemporary interiors with elements inspired by French heritage. The space includes approximately 120 seats and provides passengers with panoramic views overlooking the airport’s runways.

The interior concept was developed by Air France teams alongside MARKS Brandimage agency, focusing on simplicity, elegance and passenger comfort. The design incorporates Air France’s signature colours, combining different shades of blue with bright white finishes and subtle red details to create a calm and refined atmosphere.
The lounge also highlights the airline’s history through carefully selected decorative features. The iconic winged seahorse logo, one of Air France’s historic symbols, appears within the space alongside vintage aviation posters that celebrate the carrier’s long connection with French culture and international travel.
French creativity is also reflected in the furniture selection. The lounge includes designs associated with leading French designers, including Pierre Paulin and Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec, adding a distinctive character while maintaining practical comfort for travellers.
Food and hospitality form a central part of the new lounge experience. The dedicated dining area has been designed as an open and inviting space where passengers can enjoy meals while observing the preparation area, creating a more interactive and welcoming atmosphere.

With seating capacity for nearly 50 guests, the dining zone provides a changing menu throughout the day. Travellers can choose from a selection of French-inspired sweet and savoury dishes, including vegetarian options suitable for different dietary preferences.
The beverage offering includes French wines, Champagne, soft drinks and locally produced beers, allowing passengers to experience a combination of traditional French flavours and regional influences from Germany.
Air France has also integrated sustainability measures into the lounge operation. The catering service prioritises seasonal and locally sourced ingredients wherever possible, while food waste reduction, waste separation and recycling practices remain key elements of the facility’s daily management.
Flying Blue Ultimate members receive an additional benefit through a dedicated private section inside the new Frankfurt lounge. This exclusive area has been created to provide a quieter and more personalised environment for the airline’s most frequent travellers.
The private zone features cocoon-style seating designed to offer greater privacy and relaxation. Members can enjoy a peaceful setting while still having direct access to the lounge’s wider facilities, including dining services, digital connectivity and work areas.
The introduction of this dedicated space highlights Air France’s focus on recognising passenger loyalty and delivering tailored experiences for its highest-tier customers.
The Frankfurt lounge has been designed to support both leisure and business travellers by offering flexible areas suited for different needs. Passengers can select comfortable seating zones for relaxation, dining spaces for meals or dedicated work areas for productivity.
A quiet relaxation section provides travellers with a peaceful place to recharge before their journey. Meanwhile, professionals can use a dedicated workspace equipped with a soundproof booth for private calls and focused activities.
Technology features throughout the lounge support a seamless passenger experience. Automated access kiosks at the entrance allow eligible travellers to enter efficiently, while complimentary Wi-Fi, charging stations, USB ports and television screens provide essential services during the stay.
Passengers can also access a wide range of French and international digital newspapers and magazines through the Air France Press application, keeping them informed and entertained while waiting for their flights.
The opening of the new lounge reinforces Air France’s commitment to improving services at strategically important airports. Frankfurt remains a major European hub for business and leisure travel, connecting Germany with destinations across Europe and beyond.
During the summer operating season, Air France offers up to five daily flights between Frankfurt and Paris-Charles de Gaulle. Through its Paris hub, passengers can access the airline’s extensive international network, making Frankfurt an important gateway for global connectivity.
The new lounge reflects a wider transformation of the airline’s premium services, where airport facilities are becoming an important part of the overall travel journey. By combining French design, culinary excellence, sustainability initiatives and modern passenger amenities, Air France aims to provide a consistent premium experience before travellers take off.
With the Frankfurt opening, the airline continues to strengthen its position in European aviation by bringing a distinctive French hospitality experience closer to passengers around the world.
