Aegean Airlines Partners with Juneyao Air for China Expansion

JUNEYAO AIR and AEGEAN have announced the start of a codeshare partnership, enabling their passengers to enjoy enhanced connectivity while positioning Athens as a key gateway between Asia and Europe.

JUNEYAO AIR expands its European reach by adding Athens to its network from Shanghai. This inclusion allows passengers to easily book flights to popular destinations within AEGEAN’s international network across five countries, including Helsinki, Milan, Rome, Naples, Barcelona, Madrid, Lisbon, Nice, and Marseille.

Through this codeshare agreement, AEGEAN extends its international network offerings to travelers. The introduction of a new codeshare route between Athens and Shanghai marks AEGEAN’s debut in China.

The codeshare flights are set to begin on May 1st and will be open for booking from mid-April through juneyaoair.com, aegeanair.com, or authorized travel agencies. In the months ahead, JUNEYAO AIR and AEGEAN are aiming to broaden their joint codeshare network, including well-loved Greek destinations.

Furthermore, an interline collaboration between JUNEYAO AIR, a Star Alliance Connecting Partner, and AEGEAN, a member of Star Alliance, has already been established. This collaboration grants passengers access to numerous Greek domestic destinations via Athens.
