Aqua-Aston Hospitality, an operational division of Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corporation, has appointment Casie Riopta as general manager of the Aston Islander on the Beach.
Aston Islander on the Beach is a tranquil getaway located on six acres of tropical floral gardens along Kauai’s lush Coconut Coast, making it one of the island’s closest resorts to the water. The hotel is situated close to Kauai’s most well-known attractions in the bustling town of Kapaa and offers a variety of leisure activities, including an oceanfront pool with whirlpool spas.
Bob Berges, Regional Vice President of Operations for Aqua-Aston Hospitality claims that she has a long-standing love, dedication, and vision for Aston Islander on the Beach. He adds, “We have had the honor of witnessing Casie’s growth and leadership over the years. She will shape an unforgettable experience for our guests, and in her newfound position, she will continue to maintain the hotel’s coveted reputation.”
Casie Riopta, a native of Kauai with ten years of hospitality experience, including five at Aston Island on the Beach, oversees overall strategy, daily operations, and collaborates closely with staff members in back of house, maintenance and facilities teams, and guest relations to ensure a positive experience overall.
Additionally, Riopta is in charge of fostering and sustaining cordial connections with both current and potential owners. As a quality assurance executive at Marriott’s Kauai Beach Club, Riopta also worked for Aqua-Aston Hospitality’s parent company, Marriott Vacations Worldwide, where she received the 2021 “Excellence Always” award.
With her new promotion, Riopta is eager to keep cultivating top-notch customer service at the establishment. Riopta has a background in hospitality and maintains a Hawaii real estate license, giving her a unique viewpoint when fostering relationships with property owners, a crucial aspect of her job.
