Chisa Busanga, perhaps one of Zambia's most distinctive camps, will commence operations on May 1, 2024, instead of the previously scheduled June 1, thanks to favorable conditions within Kafue National Park. With an earlier availability of drier grounds, guests will have the opportunity to indulge in walking, biking, and game drives for an extended period, exceeding the original plans by a month.

Chisa Busanga, perhaps one of Zambia‘s most distinctive camps, will commence operations on May 1, 2024, instead of the previously scheduled June 1, thanks to favorable conditions within Kafue National Park. With an earlier availability of drier grounds, guests will have the opportunity to indulge in walking, biking, and game drives for an extended period, exceeding the original plans by a month.

What sets this camp apart is its unique accommodation design; each of its four rooms is meticulously crafted in the likeness of a human-sized weaver nest. The term ‘chisa’ translates to ‘nest’ in the Nyanja language. Nestled snugly amidst intricately woven twigs, sticks, and grasses, reminiscent of a weaver bird’s home, each room features a distinct opening that offers breathtaking vistas of the Busanga Plains. Renowned for its robust lion prides and vibrant birdlife, the plains provide an awe-inspiring backdrop.

Elevated four meters above the ground, each nest provides a cozy retreat, with one equipped with a special lift for guests requiring assistance. Beyond the unparalleled accommodation experience, guests can also embark on mountain-bike safaris, perfect for burning off excess energy from indulging in G&Ts or afternoon tea delights.

Chisa Busanga is scheduled to conclude its operations on November 1, 2024, marking the onset of the summer rainy season.
