NetJets, the US-based private aviation company, announced on 12 October 2026 that it will develop three exclusive-use airport terminals at Dallas Love Field in Texas, Washington Dulles International Airport in Virginia and Rifle Garfield County Airport in Colorado, while relocating to a larger facility in West Palm Beach, Florida. The expansion is designed to accommodate growing demand from business and leisure travellers, improve personalised airport services and strengthen private aviation infrastructure across major American destinations.

Dallas, Washington, Colorado and Florida Lead NetJets’ Latest US Expansion

The latest investment programme covers four strategically important private aviation markets. Three destinations will receive new dedicated terminals, while West Palm Beach will benefit from a larger replacement facility. The developments will introduce additional passenger lounges, private meeting areas, aircraft parking facilities and dedicated ground support services.

NetJets is working with aviation infrastructure providers, including Signature Aviation and Vantage Aviation, to deliver the projects. The programme also supports aircraft servicing and operational readiness, reflecting the company’s efforts to strengthen its ground infrastructure alongside its private jet operations.

Dallas Love Field Prepares for Major Private Aviation Development

Dallas Love Field will receive one of the largest infrastructure developments announced under the programme. NetJets plans to establish a nearly 114,000-square-foot complex, scheduled to open in late 2028. The development will combine an exclusive-use private terminal, delivered in partnership with Signature Aviation, with a second NetJets Service Hub hangar.

Dallas is already among the company’s busiest operational markets, with NetJets flight activity increasing by more than 25% since 2022. The new terminal will feature regional architectural influences, additional vehicle parking and dedicated airside access. The second hangar will complement an existing maintenance facility established in 2021.

Washington Dulles Gains Dedicated Facilities for Premium Travellers

Washington Dulles International Airport is another major destination in the expansion programme. The airport consistently ranks among NetJets’ five most popular destinations for its customers, reflecting its importance within the company’s US network.

Construction is scheduled to begin in early 2027, with more than 14,000 square feet across two floors of an existing Signature Aviation building being converted into an exclusive-use terminal. The planned facilities include contemporary lounges, private VIP suites, a family room and a central staircase connecting both levels. The investment will provide additional dedicated space for private aviation customers travelling through the Washington metropolitan area.

Colorado’s Rifle Airport Strengthens Access to Aspen’s Mountain Tourism Market

Colorado’s Rifle Garfield County Airport will receive a new private terminal and aircraft hangar as NetJets prepares for the planned runway renovation at Aspen/Pitkin County Airport. The new complex is expected to become operational by early 2027, ahead of the anticipated Aspen airport closure.

Developed with Vantage Aviation, the project will include a 6,000-square-foot terminal featuring a private lounge, mountain views and locally inspired natural materials. An accompanying hangar will protect aircraft from winter temperatures and snowfall. The investment is particularly relevant to travellers visiting Aspen and surrounding mountain destinations, where seasonal demand creates a need for reliable alternative airport access.

West Palm Beach Terminal Expansion Targets South Florida Travel Demand

NetJets is also increasing its private terminal capacity at Donald J. Trump International Airport in West Palm Beach, Florida. The company will relocate from its existing exclusive-use terminal to a larger facility developed in partnership with Signature Aviation. The terminal’s footprint will increase from 10,000 to 15,000 square feet, representing a 50% expansion.

Additional vehicle parking, expanded customer accommodation and more dedicated aircraft ramp space form part of the project. West Palm Beach is NetJets’ fourth-busiest airport and serves both seasonal visitors and permanent residents travelling to South Florida. The company has not announced a specific completion date for the relocation.

Exclusive-Use Terminals Reshape the Private Airport Experience

NetJets’ exclusive-use terminals are designed specifically for its customers, known as Owners. Unlike conventional commercial passenger terminals, these facilities provide dedicated spaces where customers can access personalised services before departure and after arrival. Amenities include private lounges, VIP conference rooms, convenient parking and assistance from on-site NetJets Service Representatives.

The facilities are also designed to reflect the character of their surrounding destinations. For corporate travellers, private meeting areas provide opportunities to continue business activities while travelling. For leisure customers, dedicated facilities offer greater privacy and more personalised ground arrangements. These services form part of NetJets’ wider private aviation operating model.

NetJets Strengthens Its Global Private Aviation Infrastructure

NetJets currently maintains more than 50 facilities worldwide, including private terminals, operational centres, regional offices and corporate locations. Its network also includes more than a dozen NetJets Service Hubs, where aircraft undergo cleaning, restocking and, at selected facilities, proactive maintenance.

According to the company’s official operational information, aircraft visit these service facilities approximately every three to four days. The expansion across Texas, Virginia, Colorado and Florida will increase the company’s dedicated ground infrastructure in markets with significant business, leisure and seasonal travel activity. The projects also demonstrate how private aviation investment increasingly combines passenger services with aircraft maintenance and operational support.

US Private Aviation Expansion Supports Business and Luxury Travel Connectivity

The four developments highlight the importance of airport infrastructure in serving specialised travel markets across the United States. Dallas and Washington Dulles represent established business aviation destinations, while Colorado and South Florida support significant leisure and seasonal travel activity.

The projects are expected to provide NetJets customers with additional private facilities and improved ground handling arrangements as individual developments become operational. However, the company has not disclosed the combined investment value, projected passenger growth or anticipated employment impact. With openings and construction milestones extending into 2027 and 2028, the programme represents a phased expansion of NetJets’ US private aviation network rather than an immediate increase in operational terminal capacity.
