Foreign visitors to Estonia came from a variety of countries, with Finnish tourists making up the largest group. A total of 1,806,765 tourists from Finland visited Estonia in 2024, accounting for 41 percent of all foreign arrivals.

Visitors from Latvia followed closely, with 682,188 people contributing 16 percent to the total, while Germany ranked third with 277,412 visitors, equating to 6 percent.

Spending patterns among these tourists varied. Visitors from Finland were the largest contributors to Estonia’s tourism revenue, spending €718 million in total. German visitors contributed €227 million, while tourists from other EU countries and Latvia spent €889 million and €682 million, respectively. Estonian residents were also active travelers in 2024, undertaking 3,105,761 trips abroad, a 3 percent increase compared to 2023. During these trips, residents of Estonia spent a total of €1.195 billion, which was €110 million more than in the previous year.
