A United Airlines flight en route from London to Newark was diverted to Bangor, Maine, due to the unruly behavior of two passengers on board. The airline reported that Flight 883 landed in Bangor, where law enforcement officials intervened following the incident.

United Airlines stated that the passengers, who seemed to be under the influence of alcohol, were escorted off the plane upon its arrival in Bangor. The flight then continued to Newark Liberty International Airport without the removed passengers, who have been temporarily banned from United flights pending further investigation.

The situation required the involvement of several agencies, including the Bangor Police Department Airport Division, Customs and Border Protection, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
