Established in 2005, the National Chocolate Day Celebration was introduced to align with Valentine’s Day on February 14, aiming to promote the local consumption of Ghanaian chocolate and cocoa-based products. In 2021, COCOBOD and the Ghana Tourism Authority expanded the celebration into a week-long event, which has since become an annual tradition, successfully fostering appreciation for Ghana’s rich cocoa heritage.
The Black Star experience is a reflection of Ghana’s deep-rooted cultural heritage, with cocoa standing as a beacon of national pride and economic prosperity. As we mark Chocolate Week, we pay tribute to the dedicated farmers whose hard work and expertise cultivate this prized crop, turning it into a globally cherished treat. Ghana’s cocoa legacy shines as a symbol of resilience, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to crafting some of the world’s finest chocolate.
