According to the Hanoi Department of Tourism, the city has welcomed approximately 25.33 million visitors in the first 11 months of 2024, marking an 11.7% rise compared to the same period in 2023.

In November 2024, Hanoi saw a total of 2.18 million visitors, representing a 16% increase compared to the same month in 2023, according to the Hanoi Department of Tourism. Among them, international arrivals were estimated at 680,800, up 28.4% from the previous year, with 480,000 international tourists staying in accommodations. Domestic tourism also grew, reaching 1.5 million arrivals, a 7.1% increase. Total tourism revenue for the month is estimated at VND 9.593 billion, a 20.2% rise over last year.

In November 2024, Hanoi’s hotel sector experienced an average room occupancy rate of 67.1%, a rise of 13.9% compared to the same month last year.

Hanoi currently boasts 3,761 accommodation establishments, providing 71,256 rooms. This includes 91 hotels and apartment buildings with ratings from 1 to 5 stars, offering a total of 12,147 rooms.

The city also has 45 food service establishments, 43 shopping venues, 7 entertainment facilities, and 2 healthcare services that have been certified to meet tourist standards. These establishments have become popular among tourists and locals alike, offering high-quality services for dining, shopping, and entertainment.

As the year draws to a close, Hanoi’s tourism industry has launched various initiatives to boost domestic tourism. Travel companies have introduced several Tet 2025 tourism programs, offering attractive promotions and early registration incentives to encourage bookings and drive demand for tours during the long holiday season.
