HRAWI hosted FSSAI’s FoSTaC programme in Khandala on July 12, offering vital food safety training to 35 hospitality professionals at The Dukes Retreat.

The Hotel and Restaurant Association (Western India) – HRAWI recently hosted a comprehensive Food Safety Supervisor Training in Advance Catering (FoSTaC) program in collaboration with the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). This event took place on July 12th at The Dukes Retreat in Khandala, with 35 hospitality professionals in attendance. The training was led by Dr. V. Pasupathy of Parikshan, and the opening ceremony included contributions from Dr. Pasupathy, Mr. Kazi Abdul Wahab, Director of F&B; Mr. Amit Dalvi, HR Manager; and Chef Nandan, Cluster Executive Chef at The Dukes Retreat.

The program covered critical topics such as food handling, preparation, hygiene, sanitation, and waste management, providing participants with the knowledge and skills needed to enforce stringent food safety practices in their operations.

HRAWI has now certified 3,083 professionals through FSSAI’s FoSTaC Training Programme, reflecting its commitment to enhancing food safety standards within the hospitality industry.
