This December, Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa will bring the magic of the holiday season to Ka’anapali Beach. From December 14 to December 25, 2025, the resort will host a special holiday experience featuring the beloved Elf on the Shelf® tradition, designed to bring families closer together during the festive season. The resort will offer a fun-filled experience for families with its playful daily hide-and-seek adventure featuring Santa’s official Scout Elf.

A Hawaiian Twist on a Classic Holiday Tradition

The Elf on the Shelf® has been delighting families worldwide since 2005. The popular tradition features Scout Elves who fly back to the North Pole each night to report on children’s holiday wishes before returning to new hiding places each morning. Hyatt Regency Maui takes this tradition to new heights by bringing it to the stunning, sun-soaked beaches of Hawaii. Set against the backdrop of Maui’s breathtaking ocean views, the experience offers families an exciting way to celebrate the season in a uniquely Hawaiian style.

Engaging Families with Daily Fun on the Shores of Maui

Guests at Hyatt Regency Maui can take part in a resort-wide scavenger hunt across the property’s expansive 40 acres. Every morning, families will look for the elf’s new hiding spot, creating an interactive and engaging holiday adventure. Participants are encouraged to capture the moments by snapping photos of their findings and sharing the fun on social media with the hashtags @HyattMaui and @theelfontheshelf. This will not only allow families to participate in the hunt but also to engage with the holiday community, adding to the season’s festive spirit.

A Chance to Win a Maui Getaway with the Snowflakes to Sunshine Giveaway

Alongside the daily elf scavenger hunts, Hyatt Regency Maui will also be running the “Snowflakes to Sunshine Giveaway.” This exciting promotion invites participants to enter for a chance to win an exclusive Maui getaway package. Full details about how to enter, along with what the prize package includes, will be shared on the resort’s official social media channels closer to the event. This giveaway offers a perfect opportunity for families to plan their next vacation, with Maui’s idyllic beaches and welcoming atmosphere setting the stage for an unforgettable holiday.
