The launch of IHG Hotels & Resorts‘ Vignette Collection brand in Doha marks a key milestone for the global hospitality company. IHG announced the signing of Velero Hotel Vignette Collection Doha Lusail, planned to open in Q1 2024, in conjunction with Hospitality for Success H4S Hotels & Residences, a division of Al Baladi Holding enterprises.

This is IHG’s seventh Vignette Collection signing in the Middle East, demonstrating the company’s commitment to extending its luxury and lifestyle offering in the area. The Vignette Collection enables independent hotels to retain their own identities while gaining access to IHG’s worldwide reach and expertise.

Velero Hotel, located in the center of Lusail, Qatar’s second-largest city, combines luxury and grandeur with a sense of community and location. The 244-room hotel, which is part of a mixed-use complex, has a unique architectural design and opulent furnishings. Three distinct food and beverage outlets, excellent fitness facilities, and substantial conference space cater to the diversified demands of clients, especially business travelers.

IHG Hotels & Resorts’ Managing Director – India, Middle East, and Africa, Haitham Mattar, expressed joy in collaborating with Al Baladi Group, underlining the changing demands of Middle Eastern tourists. He observed an increase in demand for one-of-a-kind luxury experiences, which aligned with the Vignette Collection’s concept of inspiring locales, history, and architecture.

Al Baladi Holding CEO Hany Al Sayyadi regards the relationship as an honor, anticipating Velero Hotel’s contribution to Lusail’s booming hospitality industry. The hotel, which is located near the famous Lusail Stadium, is designed to attract foreign guests, leveraging the city’s transition into a smart, technology powerhouse.

Velero Hotel Vignette Collection Doha Lusail, located near the 2022 World Cup finals venue, is well-positioned to suit the needs of GCC travelers and families. IHG’s current Middle East portfolio includes 108 properties across eight brands, cementing the company’s position as a prominent participant in the region’s hospitality scene.
