Royal Caribbean is expanding Navigator of the Seas’ Singapore deployment through October 2027, allowing more travellers across Asia to enjoy the cruise line’s signature vacation experiences from the city-state for an extended period. Following the success of the ship’s first season in Asia, Navigator of the Seas will continue operating from Singapore as a year-round homeport, creating more opportunities for families, couples and groups to explore Southeast Asia through convenient short cruises.

Bookings for the extended season will open on 19 August through Royal Caribbean’s official booking channels, giving travellers access to a wider selection of regional cruise holidays departing from Singapore.

Starting in October 2026, Navigator of the Seas will introduce a full-year programme featuring 2- to 5-night cruises across some of Southeast Asia’s most popular destinations. The itineraries will connect travellers with exciting ports in Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand, while also offering a special 12-night voyage from Tokyo to Singapore for guests seeking a longer regional adventure.

The expanded Singapore season will include short escapes visiting destinations such as Penang and Kuala Lumpur (Port Klang) in Malaysia, along with Phuket in Thailand. These sailings are designed to provide travellers with easy access to vibrant cities, cultural attractions, coastal experiences and regional highlights without the need for long-haul travel.

With the continued deployment of Navigator of the Seas in Singapore, Royal Caribbean is strengthening its presence in the Asian cruise market and providing more flexible holiday options for travellers looking for international experiences closer to home. The extended season reflects growing demand for cruise vacations in Southeast Asia and highlights Singapore’s position as a major regional cruise hub.

Navigator of the Seas offers a wide range of experiences created to suit every kind of traveller, combining high-energy adventures, family entertainment and relaxing escapes at sea. Younger guests can enjoy the colourful Splashaway Bay children’s aquapark, while adventure lovers can experience some of the ship’s most exciting attractions, including The Blaster, the longest waterslide available at sea, and Riptide, a thrilling headfirst mat racer.

Guests looking for interactive challenges can take part in the Royal Escape Room: The Observatorium or compete in a futuristic game of glow-in-the-dark laser tag. For those seeking a slower pace, the ship provides plenty of opportunities to relax, including the Caribbean-inspired pool deck, where travellers can enjoy tropical beverages at The Lime & Coconut.

Asia Pacific prepares for an expanded Royal Caribbean cruise season

Royal Caribbean is set to deliver its largest-ever Australian summer season during the 2027-2028 cruise period, with three popular ships scheduled to operate in the region. The expanded deployment will feature the newly enhanced Ovation of the Seas, which will sail from Brisbane, alongside Voyager of the Seas, while Anthem of the Seas will return to Sydney.

The increased presence reflects growing demand for cruise holidays across the Asia Pacific region, with travellers gaining access to a wider selection of destinations, seasonal experiences and international itineraries.

Between January and April, Voyager of the Seas will move its operations to Asia, offering voyages departing from Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo. The ship will introduce new cruise opportunities connecting travellers with some of the region’s most popular destinations and cultural experiences.

Guests can choose a five-night journey from Singapore to Hong Kong or select from several four- and five-night roundtrip cruises departing from Hong Kong to celebrate the Chinese New Year period. These voyages will include visits to destinations such as Ishigaki and Okinawa in Japan, with selected itineraries featuring overnight stays that allow travellers additional time to explore the islands’ landscapes, traditions and natural attractions.

Further Hong Kong departures will connect passengers with vibrant destinations including Taipei in Taiwan and Hue/Danang (Chan May) in Vietnam, offering opportunities to discover historic sites, coastal scenery and regional cultures.

From late February, cruises departing from Tokyo will coincide with Japan’s celebrated cherry blossom season, giving travellers the opportunity to experience one of the country’s most iconic seasonal events. Four specially designed 10- to 12-night itineraries will showcase Japan’s natural beauty and cultural landmarks during this popular travel period.

The Tokyo-based voyages will feature destinations across Japan, including the urban attractions of Osaka and Nagasaki, along with scenic locations offering views of Japan’s famous mountains, including Kobe and Mt Fuji (Shimizu).
