Kimpton, a part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ luxury and lifestyle collection, has unveiled the Kimpton Main Frankfurt, marking its debut in Germany and adding another dynamic property to the brand’s expanding global portfolio. Situated in the vibrant center of Frankfurt’s financial district, within the prominent new FOUR Frankfurt development, this hotel merges Kimpton’s bold, design-centric ethos with the rich history, culture, and energy of one of Germany’s most cosmopolitan cities.

The property boasts 155 meticulously designed guest rooms and suites, inspired by the minimalist aesthetics of the 20th-century Bauhaus design movement and the building’s history as the former headquarters of Deutsche Bank. Bauhaus, known for its focus on functionality, simplicity, and mass production, celebrated clean geometric lines, minimal decoration, and the use of modern materials such as glass and steel.

At Kimpton Main Frankfurt, this iconic aesthetic is reimagined in a modern context. Sleek, minimalist details like chrome and crystal are harmonized with tactile, luxurious elements such as velvet, rich green and red marble, and dark mahogany wood, cultivating a space that is both sophisticated and inviting.

Ronald Hoogerbrugge, General Manager at Kimpton Main Frankfurt, commented: “We are thrilled to open the doors to Kimpton Main Frankfurt, our very first Kimpton hotel in Germany. Here, we invite guests to dive into our playful and sophisticated take on hospitality. Our passionate team is dedicated to crafting unforgettable experiences—whether you’re here for work, play, or a little bit of both.

In true Kimpton style, we believe that the best connections happen over a delicious cup of coffee or a perfectly crafted cocktail. That’s why our lively social spaces, rooftop bar, and restaurants are the heartbeat of our hotel. With stylish accommodations and a deep connection to the city, Kimpton Main Frankfurt isn’t just a place to stay; it’s a place to be inspired and create lasting memories.”

Food and beverages have long been at the heart of the Kimpton experience, and at Kimpton Main Frankfurt, the brand continues this tradition with its standout dining venues and social spaces, quickly becoming local favorites:

MAY – An American-inspired haven in the heart of Frankfurt, offering an exceptional array of craft cocktails. From timeless classics like the dry Martini to signature gin and whiskey creations such as the Ernst May and Moriarty, MAY serves as a welcoming community living room — a place for work, relaxation, and connection.

ANNI – A contemporary European brasserie with a unique German flair, perfect for both locals and visitors who appreciate a fresh twist on traditional brasserie fare. The menu features everything from French onion soup and beef or tuna tartare to Moules Frites and Wiener Schnitzel.

LAZULI – An elegant rooftop retreat providing sweeping views of Frankfurt’s skyline. Casual yet refined, LAZULI specializes in Mediterranean-inspired sharing plates and inventive cocktails, making it the ideal spot for sunset gatherings or weekend celebrations.

At Kimpton Main Frankfurt, guests can indulge in a variety of distinctive amenities and thoughtful details, such as in-room yoga mats, complimentary bikes for urban exploration, and the signature Kimpton Kickstart and Social Hour. These beloved offerings provide a vibrant space for guests to mingle over drinks and conversation. For pet owners, the hotel embraces all pets—whether furry, feathery, or scaly—without any additional fees or restrictions on size, weight, or breed. Additionally, the “Forgot It? We’ve Got It!” program ensures that guests can easily access a selection of essential items they may have forgotten, ranging from lint rollers and hair straighteners to personal care products.

Kimpton Hotels was established in 1981 by Bill Kimpton, an entrepreneur and avid traveler, who sought to transform the conventional hotel experience. With inspiration drawn from his travels in Europe, Bill envisioned a hotel that was more than just a place to sleep; he wanted it to be a space where guests could feel a sense of belonging, experience unique moments, and immerse themselves in the local culture.

Kimpton Main Frankfurt marks the newest addition to the brand’s expanding portfolio of luxury lifestyle hotels in Europe. It joins esteemed properties such as Kimpton Fitzroy London, Kimpton Vividora Barcelona, and Kimpton St. Honoré Paris, while also paving the way for upcoming openings, including Kimpton Los Monteros Marbella and Kimpton Atlantico Algarve.
