Media registration is now open for the 2024 PATA International Conference on Women in Travel and the PATA Annual Summit, offering insights into gender equality and sustainable tourism.
The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) invites media professionals to register for two significant events of 2024: the PATA International Conference on Women in Travel (PICW) and the PATA Annual Summit (PAS). Both events promise insightful discussions on gender equality, sustainability, and the future of tourism in the Asia Pacific region.
The PICW, scheduled from March 20 – 22 in Bohol, Philippines, aims to celebrate women’s achievements in the travel and tourism industry while addressing gender disparities. Hosted by the Department of Tourism, Philippines, the conference will explore initiatives for gender equality, sustainability, and women’s leadership development. Bohol, renowned for its natural beauty and support for women entrepreneurs, serves as an ideal backdrop for this event.
Simultaneously, the PAS will take place from May 15 – 17 in Macao, China, hosted by the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO). The summit will gather international professionals to discuss challenges, opportunities, and responsible growth in tourism across the Asia Pacific. Macao’s unique blend of cosmopolitanism and cultural heritage offers a fitting setting for the event, showcasing its UNESCO World Heritage sites and intangible cultural practices.
Media delegates can benefit from complimentary access to official events, discounted room rates, and special rates on post tours. While media registration is complimentary, a $10 payment for carbon offsetting is required, aligning with PATA’s commitment to sustainability.
