Mizoram all set to renew its tourism strategies

Mizoram has recently devised new strategies to regenerate the revenue creation of the state through tourism.

The state has plans to set up a new policy and forward it to government departments for a comprehensive research and present in the upcoming assembly session after receiving the approval from the state cabinet.

“Though the government has an existing tourism policy, we are drafting a new one known as Mizoram Responsible Tourism Policy, 2020 to meet present requirements,” Tourism Minister, Mr. Robert Romawia Royte informed media.

He declared that a reoriented tourism policy is very much in need to get the green signal from the Central government and other allies in regards to funding.

The new policy will access the up-market slot tourism, to improve local businesses as well as job providers, about the local culture, officials said.

Also, they have thought to make sure that tourism development happens in developing sites after completing the survey.

Last year, a total of 1, 61,677 tourists were recorded to have visited Mizoram, the officials confirmed.
