In a definitive signal of commercial confidence across the Western Hemisphere, the inaugural ITB Americas 2026 has secured 70 per cent of its exhibition floor space four months ahead of its scheduled debut. Anchored by confirmed participation from key sovereign destinations including Mexico, Brazil and Peru, the trade exhibition is positioning itself as the premier Pan-American business-to-business (B2B) travel marketplace. Organised by Messe Berlin Americas, the event will take place from 10 to 12 November 2026 at Expo Guadalajara in Mexico. It aims to establish a unified strategic venue connecting North America, Central America, South America and the Caribbean directly with high-value global source markets.

Unifying the Americas on One Strategic Platform

The rapid uptake of floor space underscores a structural demand for a dedicated platform capable of bridging the fragmented travel markets of the Americas. Designed as a dedicated B2B trade show, ITB Americas provides equal representation across the continent’s sub-regions, creating a centralised forum for destination management organisations, hospitality groups, aviation carriers and technology providers.

Speaking on the early milestone, Vicente Salas Hesselbach, Vice President and Managing Director Americas at Messe Berlin, emphasised the strategic imperative behind the new platform:

“ITB Americas was created to bring the Americas travel industry together in a way that has never existed before. The commitment we are seeing from destinations, brands and partners confirms that the industry is looking for a focused business platform built around quality connections, strategic partnerships and meaningful market access. Our founding exhibitors are helping shape the future of travel across the Americas from day one.”

The event structure reflects a deliberate shift away from traditional volume-centric trade shows, focusing instead on quantifiable commercial returns, high-level corporate alignment and targeted executive engagement.

Destination Representation and International Reach

The first edition of ITB Americas has attracted substantial commitment from premier tourism authorities across the Western Hemisphere. Mexico has been designated as the Official Partner Country for the 2026 summit. South American participation is anchored by Brazil and Peru—the latter represented by its national export and tourism promotion board, PROMPERÚ. Central America is represented by confirmed delegations from Costa Rica and Nicaragua.

European destination representation includes the regional tourism board of Dubrovnik and Neretva. The expanding exhibitor pipeline is further expected to incorporate national tourism bodies and promotional agencies from Colombia, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Visit Orlando and Puerto Rico.
