China and Japan, along with other major travel destinations in Asia, are receiving increased focus from India’s rapidly growing outbound travel market. This is the case due to the recent launch of a new destination services platform by Linkin South Asia, focused on developing travel opportunities across Asia. Based in New Delhi, the initiative will offer Indian travel agents and tour operators personalized travel offerings in China, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea and Hong Kong, and will offer more direct destination services, faster turnaround and more product development support. With the growing desire for uniquely tailored travel offerings in Asia by Indian travelers, the launch by Linkin Reps is the first step toward establishing a direct outbound travel operation.

Based in New Delhi, Linkin South Asia will begin operations on 2 September 2026, providing directly managed destination services for Indian travel agents and tour operators. The new venture aims to create stronger connections between India’s outbound travel market and some of Asia’s most sought-after destinations.

The launch represents a significant step in Linkin Reps’ growth strategy, expanding beyond travel representation, sales, marketing and destination promotion into direct outbound destination operations. Through Linkin South Asia, the company will develop its own destination expertise and operational capabilities across high-potential Asian markets.

Operating as a specialised brand under Linkin Reps, Linkin South Asia will focus on delivering end-to-end destination solutions across Japan, Taiwan, China, South Korea and Hong Kong. The model will allow the company to take greater control over product creation, local knowledge, service standards and the overall travel experience offered to Indian trade partners.

Commenting on the expansion, Komal Seth, Founder and Director, Linkin Reps, said, “We wanted to do something different in the destination management space, and in the process, we realised that the vendor supply gap was particularly large across these destinations. It took us a while to build the right foundation. Still, we have finally succeeded in developing and launching packages where we can offer competitive products while also delivering good margins to travel agents. For us, the objective has always been to create a proposition that works for both the traveller and the trade, with strong products, better servicing and a commercially viable model for our agent partners.”

The launch of Linkin South Asia follows months of strategic planning and development aimed at creating a distinctive service model for the Indian travel trade. The new brand is focused on delivering a seamless and premium destination servicing experience built on deep destination expertise, strong product knowledge, reduced communication gaps and faster, more organised support for travel agents and tour operators.

The company’s five-destination portfolio combines some of Asia’s most popular markets with emerging opportunities for Indian outbound travellers. While Hong Kong continues to hold a strong position among Indian visitors, Linkin South Asia sees significant potential to introduce new experiences, customised itineraries and innovative travel products around the destination. The addition of Japan, Taiwan, China and South Korea further expands the offering across cultural, leisure, lifestyle and experiential travel segments.

A key element of Linkin South Asia’s approach is its boutique, people-focused destination management model. The company aims to maintain a human-led service structure rather than relying mainly on automated online systems. While technology will assist operations, the core focus will remain on personalised communication, relationship building, detailed destination understanding and local expertise to deliver tailored travel solutions.

For Indian travel partners, Linkin South Asia will introduce structured processes, booking templates and product frameworks designed to make destination servicing more efficient. These tools will help reduce lengthy coordination cycles and simplify the planning process for agents and operators. The company will also place strong emphasis on improving commercial opportunities for travel partners by offering competitive margins, particularly through optimised ground handling and transfer solutions.

Leading the new venture will be Mr Amit Rai, Director of Sales, who brings 24 years of experience across B2B, B2C and MICE travel segments. His professional background includes leadership roles at UDMC and experience with organisations such as Cox & Kings, Cadila Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Freedom Travel and Bluemoon Travel.

Supporting the operations will be Ms Namrata Grover, General Manager of Operations and Sales, based in New Delhi. With more than 14 years of experience, she has worked across FIT, MICE, leisure, group travel and corporate incentive segments, bringing expertise in operations management, marketing, B2B network development and destination product training.

With the introduction of Linkin South Asia, Linkin Reps is expanding its role within India’s growing outbound travel ecosystem. The company is moving beyond its established travel representation and destination marketing activities to create a directly operated platform across five strategic Asian markets.

The new initiative is designed to provide Indian travel agents and tour operators with a more efficient, responsive and personalised way of accessing Japan, Taiwan, China, South Korea and Hong Kong. Supported by dedicated destination specialists, product development capabilities and a focus on service quality, Linkin South Asia aims to build stronger trade partnerships and long-term growth opportunities in the outbound travel sector.
