Natrona County and Wyoming witness upsurge in tourism

Natrona County and Wyoming all together witnessed an upsurge in tourism throughout the preceding financial year, as per lately released statistics from Travel Wyoming.


In FY 2022, Natrona County witnessed over 746,000 visitors, said Tyler Daugherty, the CEO of Visit Casper.


These tourists spent approximately $349 million for the native economy. That aided to make around $16.8
million in state and local levies, and assisted Natrona County families save an average of $510.


Daugherty said that each number signifies a stable increase compared to 2021. Tourist expenditure in the
county went up a little more than $39 million compared to 2021, when around $310 million was earned.


Considering total visitors, approximately 746,000 travelers to Natrona County is an upsurge from only
more than 730,000 in 2021.


Daugherty said that the numbers are even more hopeful, when considering the alteration in the past
decade.


Daugherty said that in 2013, tourists spent hardly $300 million, and their tourism sector job development has augmented from 2,200 to 2,800 during that time. Just considering those statistics and standards, there has been wonderful growth.


The growth witnessed in the vicinity signifies a state- wide development at the same time. In 2022, 7.5
million travelers came to the state and spent around $4.5 billion, which marks surges of approximately 4%
from the year before.
