Iberia is set to boost seat availability this festive season, providing more opportunities for passengers to travel during the holidays. From December 20 to January 7, the airline plans to operate 5,081 flights, offering a total of 1,126,000 seats.

The airline has introduced exciting new winter destinations including Salzburg, Innsbruck, Tromso, and Rovaniemi. These join the ranks of beloved European capitals such as London, Paris, and Rome in terms of popularity. Other cities like Geneva, Zurich, and Prague will also see larger aircraft deployed to accommodate the surge in demand.

Destinations offering snowy landscapes are particularly popular this year. Salzburg and Innsbruck are now connected by direct flights twice weekly since early December. Tromso, famed for its Northern Lights, is another highlight with two weekly flights. Meanwhile, Rovaniemi, known as the official hometown of Santa Claus, will have flights four times a week from Madrid, increasing access to this enchanting location during the holiday season.

London, Paris, Rome, along with New York and Boston, remain essential destinations during the Christmas period. Iberia schedules multiple daily flights to these cities, including a new route to Boston using the state-of-the-art Airbus A321XLR.

Celebrating Christmas aloft, Iberia enhances its onboard service with festive touches. Intercontinental Business class passengers can savor a special menu available until December 31, featuring delicacies such as capon supreme and a dessert shaped like a Christmas bauble. Economy and Premium Economy passengers departing from Madrid will be treated to a festive raspberry Christmas cake.

Special festivities are also planned for New Year’s Eve and The Three Wise Men day, with traditional celebrations and treats like the lucky grapes and Cava, and the Roscón de Reyes cake, which includes a chance to win a share of 228,000 Avios.

On European flights, a unique dessert will also be offered to Business class passengers, and those flying from Madrid on Christmas Eve will receive a special gift bag.

The Gastrobar service in Economy on short and medium-haul flights will feature a Gingerbread Noel Cookie available from December 20 to January 6.

The festive spirit extends to Iberia’s Premium Lounges in Madrid, decorated with holiday motifs and offering a special Christmas menu from December 21 to 31. Guests can indulge in traditional dishes and desserts, and partake in the lucky grapes and cava tradition on New Year’s Eve. On January 6, the lounges will serve the Roscón de Reyes.

Additionally, from December 21 to January 7, baristas will add a festive touch to coffees with Christmas designs, and on December 19 and 20, guests will receive a personalized Christmas bauble. The lounges will also feature magic mailboxes for children to send their letters to the Three Wise Men.
