Radisson Hotel Group unveils Park Inn by Radisson Makkah Thakher Algharbi, expanding its presence in the holy city and enhancing hospitality in Thakher City’s heart.

Radisson Hotel Group has unveiled the Park Inn by Radisson Makkah Thakher Algharbi. This new establishment follows closely on the heels of the recent debut of Park Inn by Radisson Makkah Thakher Alsharqi, solidifying the Group’s foothold in the sacred city.

The Hotel

Park Inn by Radisson Makkah Thakher Algharbi features 161 rooms, an all-day dining restaurant, and a lobby café offering a variety of international and local dishes. The hotel also provides a complimentary 24-hour shuttle bus service to the Grand Mosque of Makkah.

Guests at the hotel can immerse themselves in the local heritage by visiting The Kiswa Factory of the Holy Ka’aba, where the intricate cloth covering the Ka’aba is meticulously crafted. Nearby, the Hira Cultural District offers a comprehensive exploration of Islamic history and culture. For modern shopping and dining, Makkah Mall is close by with a wide array of retail and food options. Additionally, those seeking spiritual enrichment can visit the historic Cave of Thawr, significant for its role during the Prophet Muhammad’s migration, which is also in close proximity.

The hotel is situated in the heart of Thakher City, just 2.1 km from The Grand Mosque. It is part of an extensive urban development initiative by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, spanning 320,000 square meters. With a total investment of $7 billion (26 billion SAR), this project aims to create a seamless ecosystem of residential, commercial, and hospitality spaces. Upon completion, the development is expected to accommodate over 1.6 million visitors and pilgrims, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030’s goal of hosting 30 million Umrah pilgrims annually.

Tim Cordon, COO, MEA and SEAP, Radisson Hotel Group, commented: “The opening of Park Inn by Radisson Makkah Thakher Algharbi is a significant step in our strategic growth in Saudi Arabia. We are dedicated to supporting the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 by delivering exceptional hospitality experiences that cater to the needs of both pilgrims and leisure travelers.”
