Travelex unveils new Bureau at Westfield London

Travelex, a prominent global provider of travel money services, has inaugurated a fresh bureau within Westfield London, which stands as Europe’s largest shopping center. This move marks a significant expansion of Travelex’s distribution network into major shopping destinations.Situated on the ground level near the southern entrance, the new bureau offers a comprehensive range of foreign exchange services. These include in-person currency conversion for various currencies, the option for customers to acquire a pre-paid Travelex Money Card, convenient click-and-collect services, along with two ATMs.

Originally established in 2008 after a £1.6 billion, five-year development project, Westfield London accommodates over 450 retailers and more than 80 dining establishments, spanning an expansive 2.6 million square feet. It holds the distinction of being the largest prime retail center in both the UK and Europe, attracting approximately 21 million visitors annually from over 100 different countries.

This new location, Travelex’s 67th store in the UK, represents its second bureau within a prominent British shopping center, complementing its existing presence at Selfridges’ renowned flagship store in London. While Travelex has traditionally focused on major transportation hubs, its expansion into shopping centers bolsters its extensive retail distribution network, allowing it to meet diverse travel money needs more effectively.

The opening of this bureau follows Travelex’s recent establishment of over 20 new stores across Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and Brazil. Additionally, Travelex has expanded its ATM click-and-collect service in airports across the UK, including Heathrow, Manchester, and Birmingham. These developments come on the heels of Travelex reporting a 25% increase in international revenues over the past year, reflecting the ongoing resurgence in international travel.
