Minor Hotels Expands Worldwide Luxury Influence With New MICHELIN Keys Across Asia Europe And Beyond

Minor Hotels has achieved a major milestone in the global luxury hospitality sector after 18 of its hotels and resorts across 13 countries received a total of 22 MICHELIN Keys in the 2026 selection. The latest recognition marks a significant rise for the group, which secured nine more Keys compared with the previous year.

The awards highlight the growing international reputation of three Minor Hotels brands: Anantara Hotels & Resorts, Avani Hotels & Resorts and Tivoli Hotels & Resorts. The MICHELIN Guide awarded four Minor Hotels properties with Two Keys, representing an “exceptional stay”, while 14 properties received One Key, recognising a “very special stay”.

Among the 18 recognised properties, nine achieved MICHELIN Key status for the first time in 2026. Two of these new winners entered directly into the Two Key category, reflecting their strong appeal in luxury travel, design, service and guest experience. The remaining nine properties successfully maintained their previous MICHELIN Key distinctions from 2025 and 2024.

New Minor Hotels Properties Receive Global MICHELIN Recognition

The 2026 MICHELIN Key selection expanded Minor Hotels’ presence across Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, the Indian Ocean and the Americas. Several newly recognised properties represent destinations that are becoming increasingly important for luxury travellers seeking unique cultural, nature and heritage experiences.

In India, Anantara Jewel Bagh Jaipur Hotel earned its first MICHELIN Key. Located near Jaipur, the property combines traditional Rajasthani craftsmanship with modern luxury. The hotel reflects the region’s royal heritage through its architecture, design and cultural experiences while offering travellers convenient access to Jaipur’s historic attractions.

The Middle East also added two new One Key properties to the Minor Hotels portfolio. Anantara Mina Ras Al Khaimah Resort received recognition for its distinctive coastal setting on a private peninsula. The resort features the emirate’s first overwater villas, creating a unique luxury experience surrounded by marine landscapes.

Another new addition is Anantara Sir Bani Yas Island Al Sahel Villa Resort in the United Arab Emirates. Located within a protected wildlife reserve, the resort offers 30 private pool villas surrounded by natural landscapes where visitors can experience wildlife encounters with species including gazelles and Arabian oryx.

Africa gained a new Two Key property through Anantara Stanley & Livingstone Victoria Falls Hotel in Zimbabwe. The 16-suite retreat became the first Anantara property in Africa to receive MICHELIN Key recognition. Positioned inside the Victoria Falls Private Game Reserve, the hotel combines luxury accommodation with wildlife experiences, including guided safaris where guests can observe species such as black rhinos and zebras. The famous Victoria Falls is also located a short drive away, adding another major attraction for international visitors.

In the Indian Ocean region, Anantara Maia Seychelles Villas received One Key recognition. The luxury villa resort sits above Anse Louis on Mahé Island and features architecture and interiors designed to blend naturally with the surrounding tropical environment. Guests can enjoy views of the ocean, gardens and Seychelles’ unique island scenery.

Europe Strengthens Minor Hotels Luxury Travel Presence

Minor Hotels’ European portfolio also achieved new MICHELIN success, with three properties receiving recognition in the 2026 selection.

Anantara Palais Hansen Vienna Hotel earned Two Keys for the first time. Located inside a historic Neo-Renaissance palace on Vienna’s famous Ringstrasse, the property combines heritage architecture with contemporary hospitality. The hotel also features EDVARD, a restaurant recognised with one MICHELIN Star.

Anantara Palazzo Naiadi Rome Hotel secured One Key in 2026. The hotel occupies a 19th-century palazzo overlooking Piazza della Repubblica in Rome. Its luxury setting, historic character and Michelin-recognised dining experience at INEO contribute to its international appeal.

Portugal also joined the list through Tivoli Kopke Porto Gaia Hotel, which received One Key. The property is located within the restored historic cellars of Kopke, recognised as the world’s oldest Port wine producer. Positioned across the Douro River from Porto, the hotel offers travellers a unique combination of heritage, wine culture and luxury accommodation.

In the Americas, Tivoli São Paulo Mofarrej Hotel became the first Minor Hotels property in the region to receive a MICHELIN Key. The One Key recognition highlights the 23-storey luxury hotel located on Avenida Paulista in São Paulo’s Jardins district, one of the city’s most prominent areas.

Nine Luxury Hotels Maintain Their MICHELIN Key Status

Alongside the new winners, nine Minor Hotels properties retained their MICHELIN Keys in 2026, strengthening the group’s position within the global luxury hospitality market.

Five properties that first received recognition in 2025 continued their success for a second consecutive year. These include Tivoli Doelen Amsterdam Hotel, which retained Two Keys, along with Anantara New York Palace Budapest Hotel, Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara, Anantara Rasananda Koh Phangan Villas and FCC Angkor by Avani.

Four properties continued their MICHELIN recognition for the third consecutive year after first earning Keys in 2024. These include Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort in Thailand, which retained Two Keys, as well as Anantara Hua Hin Resort, Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort and Anantara Villa Padierna Palace Benahavís Marbella Resort.

The continued recognition demonstrates the strength of Minor Hotels’ luxury portfolio across different travel markets, from Southeast Asian beach destinations and European heritage cities to desert resorts and wildlife-focused escapes.
