Emirates Opens Only Year-Round Non-Stop Flights Between UAE and Finland with New Daily A350 Flights
Dubai, UAE and Helsinki, Finland now have a new year-round air connection as Emirates begins daily direct services between Dubai International Airport and Helsinki Airport. The route started on 1 October 2026, with the inaugural Emirates flight arriving in Helsinki on the same day. It is the only year-round direct air link between Finland and the UAE, strengthening access for leisure travellers, business passengers and cargo. The new service operates with Emirates’ Airbus A350-900 and provides travellers in Finland with direct access to Dubai, while passengers from the UAE gain a new gateway to Helsinki and Finland’s wider tourism regions. The schedule has also been designed around onward connections through Dubai to destinations across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, the Indian Ocean and Australasia.
Dubai to Helsinki Flight Schedule
Emirates flight EK167 operates from Dubai International Airport to Helsinki Airport every day throughout the year.
The current published schedule has EK167 departing Dubai at 08:15 local time and arriving in Helsinki at 14:30 local time. The flight takes approximately 7 hours and 15 minutes.
The return service, EK168, departs Helsinki at 16:20 local time and arrives at Dubai International Airport at 00:20 the following day. The scheduled flying time is approximately 7 hours.

Emirates A350 Brings Three Cabin Choices
The Helsinki route is being operated with the Airbus A350-900, Emirates’ newest aircraft type.
The aircraft serving the route has 312 seats across three cabin classes, according to Finavia. These include Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy Class.

Business Class provides a premium cabin environment with direct aisle access and lie-flat seating on the Emirates A350.
Premium Economy gives passengers a separate cabin with wider seats, additional legroom and a greater level of personal space than Economy.
Economy Class features Emirates’ latest-generation inflight entertainment system, with the airline’s ICE entertainment platform and onboard connectivity available on the A350.
The introduction of Premium Economy is particularly relevant because Helsinki becomes one of the destinations receiving Emirates’ newest aircraft and latest cabin products from launch.

Helsinki Becomes a New Nordic Gateway
The route expands Emirates’ presence in the Nordic region while giving travellers from the Gulf direct access to Finland.
Helsinki is the country’s main international gateway and provides access to destinations across southern Finland as well as the country’s northern regions.
For leisure travellers, the new connection creates opportunities to build itineraries around Lapland, the Northern Lights, Finnish Lakeland and the Midnight Sun.
Lapland is particularly attractive during the winter season, when visitors travel north for snow-based activities, reindeer experiences, husky safaris and opportunities to see the aurora.
During summer, Finland’s long daylight hours provide a different tourism experience, with outdoor activities across forests, lakes and national parks.
Emirates is also promoting Helsinki as a gateway to Finland’s nature reserves, forests, lakes and wildlife experiences.

Dubai Opens Connections Across Asia and Beyond
The route’s tourism value extends beyond the point-to-point connection.
Emirates says the Helsinki service has been scheduled to provide onward connections through Dubai to destinations across East and Southeast Asia, West Asia, the Indian Ocean, Africa, the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand.
The network includes major destinations such as Bangkok, Phuket, Bali, Singapore, Tokyo and Seoul, alongside Indian Ocean destinations and cities across Africa and the Gulf.
For Finnish travellers, this means Dubai can function as an intermediate hub for long-haul holidays rather than simply a final destination.
For visitors from Asia and Australia, the reverse journey creates a new one-stop option for reaching Helsinki through Dubai.
The Route Also Supports Finland’s Cargo Trade
The new connection is not limited to passenger tourism.

Emirates SkyCargo is supporting the route with belly-hold capacity, creating additional cargo opportunities between Finland and the UAE.
The connection can support shipments moving between the two markets and onward destinations across Emirates’ network.
Potential cargo categories include technology products, pharmaceuticals, machinery, forest-related products and perishables, although the precise commodities carried on individual flights depend on commercial bookings and operational requirements.
The direct connection therefore adds both passenger and freight capacity to the Finland-UAE relationship.
Helsinki Tourism Gains Direct Gulf Access
The new Emirates service gives Finnish tourism another direct connection with the Gulf.
Dubai has a large international aviation network, and passengers travelling from Helsinki can connect onwards without needing a separate journey to another European hub.

This is particularly relevant for Finnish visitors travelling to the Middle East, Asia and the Indian Ocean, while international tourists can use Dubai as their gateway into Finland.
The service also supports Helsinki’s role as an international transfer point. Finavia says the route strengthens Finland’s accessibility for business, international trade, tourism and investment.
A New Year-Round Link Between Two Tourism Markets
Emirates’ Helsinki launch represents a significant addition to the airline’s European network. The route provides a daily, year-round, non-stop connection between Dubai and Helsinki, operated by the A350-900 and offering Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy. For travellers, the biggest change is straightforward: Finland is now directly connected to Dubai every day, while Dubai provides Helsinki passengers with access to a much wider global network. The route also arrives as Finland prepares for its winter tourism season, giving Gulf and Asian travellers a direct option for reaching Helsinki before continuing towards Lapland and other Nordic destinations. For Finnish travellers, meanwhile, the same service opens a convenient route towards Dubai and onward destinations across Asia, Africa, the Indian Ocean and Australasia.
