Wasaga Beach Ignites Ontario’s Final Summer Weekend with Three Free Concert Nights, Giant Ferris Wheel and Georgian Bay Fireworks

Memories of Summer is back from September 3 to 5 in 2026. It marks the end of the season in Ontario. Wasaga Beach hosts live music, entertainment, and activities. There are concerts, a large Ferris wheel, food trucks, a beer garden, paths lit up, and fireworks in the bay. For a summer send-off, there’s a good variety of summer activities. Summer will not be over, though. There will be a festival!
There is a planned theme for music for each night. Sylvan(year) will be the first to perform. He will perform yacht rock music. The following night will be music of the hip hop and R&B genre. This will be performed by a group called Wing Night. The Motown Legends will close the festival.
The concerts will be at the Rock 95 Main Stage at Beach 2. There is no charge to attend on all three nights.
What is the complete Memories of Summer schedule?
The Town of Wasaga Beach has confirmed the performers and dates, but it has not yet published the opening times, individual show times or Saturday fireworks time. Travellers should not rely on unofficial schedules.

Who will perform on Thursday night?
The Yacht Rock Show will begin the festival on Thursday, 3 September. The group specialises in note-for-note interpretations of the soft-rock sound that dominated radio during the late 1970s and 1980s.

The programme is expected to include music associated with Hall & Oates, Toto, Christopher Cross, Steely Dan, Kenny Loggins and Michael McDonald. Smooth harmonies, relaxed arrangements and familiar choruses will shape the opening evening as the sun sets over Georgian Bay.
The original artists named in the programme are not being advertised as appearing in Wasaga Beach. The Yacht Rock Show is a tribute production performing music associated with those artists. This distinction is important for travellers purchasing accommodation or planning a journey specifically around the line-up.
What will Wing Night bring to the beach?
Friday, 4 September, will move the festival into the 1990s and early 2000s. Toronto-based Wing Night will perform popular hip-hop and R&B songs from that period.
Its repertoire draws on music associated with TLC, Destiny’s Child, Outkast, Usher, Nelly, Missy Elliott and The Notorious B.I.G. Once again, those original artists are not scheduled to attend. Wing Night is a cover band recreating their well-known hits.
The group has performed across Ontario since 2013 and is known for high-energy shows designed to create a dance-floor atmosphere. According to the municipal programme, it has sold out multiple performances at Toronto venues including The Horseshoe Tavern, The Opera House and The Danforth Music Hall.
Friday’s performance could attract visitors who grew up during the music-video era and want to revisit the songs associated with radio, school dances, nightclubs and early digital playlists.

Who will lead Saturday’s Motown finale?
Legends of Motown will headline the final evening on Saturday, 5 September. The large-scale production uses a 16-piece ensemble, multiple vocalists and coordinated choreography to recreate the sound and visual character of Motown’s most influential years.
The performance will celebrate music associated with The Supremes, The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, The Four Tops, Martha and the Vandellas and The Jackson 5.
These legendary artists are not personally appearing at the event. Legends of Motown is a lookalike and soundalike tribute show presenting their music, performance styles and signature choreography.
The production has previously appeared at events and venues including the Beaches International Jazz Festival and Toronto’s Roy Thomson Hall. Its combination of live instrumentation, soul vocals and theatrical movement should give Saturday the most elaborate stage presentation of the three-night festival.
Fireworks over Georgian Bay will follow the concert. The municipality has not yet announced the display’s exact starting time or its weather-contingency arrangements.
What else will happen beyond the concerts?
A 65-foot Ferris wheel will become one of the festival’s main visual attractions. From the top, passengers will be able to see the beach, waterfront activity and surrounding Georgian Bay landscape. However, the town has not confirmed whether rides will be free or separately charged.

Food trucks will operate within the festival area, offering casual meals, snacks and refreshments. The full vendor list, prices and service times have not yet been released.
A licensed beer garden will allow adults to watch the entertainment while purchasing alcoholic drinks. Entry will be limited to people aged 19 and above, and visitors must carry valid government-issued photographic identification.
Illuminated pathways will brighten the event area after sunset. DJs will build the atmosphere before the live shows, while a large screen will feature music videos representing different decades.
Families can attend the concerts, but the beer garden will remain an age-restricted area. Visitors should check the final event regulations for information concerning bags, outside food, pets, umbrellas and other restricted items.
Why is Beach Area 2 suitable for the festival?
The concerts will take place at Beach Area 2, a family-oriented section of the Wasaga Beach waterfront. The town’s official beach guide lists parking, washrooms, picnic space, a playground, beach volleyball and boardwalk access among its regular facilities.
An accessible Mobi-Mat helps visitors with mobility requirements cross part of the sandy surface. Accessible parking is also available nearby. Festivalgoers needing step-free access should confirm whether temporary staging, barriers or crowd-management measures will affect the normal route.

Destination Ontario describes Wasaga Beach as the world’s longest freshwater beach. Its shoreline stretches for more than 14 kilometres across eight beach areas along southern Georgian Bay.
The waterfront forms part of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park, whose dunes, wetlands, woodlands and trails expand the destination’s appeal beyond concerts and swimming. Ontario Parks lists its 2026 day-use season from 6 April until 12 October.
How can travellers reach the event?
Travellers arriving by car should expect strong demand for spaces close to Beach Area 2. The municipality operates both municipal facilities and access to provincial parking areas. Its official parking page should be checked before departure because special traffic controls may be introduced.
The town’s local transit network normally operates two routes daily between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. Those standard hours may end before the concerts or fireworks finish, so visitors should arrange a backup journey unless extended festival service is announced.
A direct coach service connecting Toronto Union Station with Wasaga Beach was introduced in 2026. Passengers should verify the operator’s September timetable and book early because long-weekend demand could be high.
Why does this expansion matter for Wasaga Beach tourism?
Based on their recent data, the municipality estimates that Memories of Summer draws in over 12,000 attendees each year. Past performers include April Wine (2023), Tom Cochrane (2024), and Queen Flash (2025). This festival is also one of the top 100 festivals and events in the province.

Offering three different themed concerts instead of one main concert would likely draw attendees to stay at the festival for a longer duration. This will mean that all businesses that rely on festival attendees for income will benefit.
The town states that they receive over 2 million visitors every year. The festival is part of the town’s plan to bring visitors to the town for more than just the daily beach outings. The festival brings evening entertainment and music along with activities on the waterfront.
Concerts end on saturday September 5, 2026, while the Canadian Labour Day is on Monday September 7, giving some attendees extra time to enjoy the attractions in the area.
Memories of Summer 2026 is sure to be a high energy send off for the summer with three distinct concert offerings, free admission, and fireworks. Upcoming concert details such as times, prices for rides, and arrangements for transport will be available as the date for the festival gets closer.
