Washington, DC is gearing up for a jubilant celebration of Holi at Union Market District, promising an evening filled with colors, music, and authentic Indian flavors. Scheduled for Monday, March 25, from 6pm-8pm, this event promises to be a highlight of the spring season in the nation’s capital.

Last year’s successful event has prompted organizers to bring back the festival to Union Market District, ensuring an authentic experience aligned with the Hindu calendar’s official date for Holi. Attendees can anticipate a lively atmosphere with Indian delicacies from renowned eateries like RASA and DC Dosa, accompanied by great music, dancing, and cocktails.

Participants are encouraged to wear white attire that they don’t mind getting colorful, as washable and non-toxic colored powder will be part of the festivities. The event is free to the public on a first-come, first-served basis, with colors and t-shirts available while supplies last. Food and drinks will be available for purchase from participating retailers, with proceeds contributing to the Akshaya Patra Foundation.

The celebration boasts an impressive lineup of partners, including DC Dosa, RASA, Buffalo & Bergen, Malai Ice Cream, Elite Entertainment, DC Bhangra Crew, and Desi Moves and Vibes. Moreover, the event is presented in collaboration with Uber Eats, Rupee Beer, Topo Chico, Kulture Khazana, and Denimrush Experience, ensuring a diverse and enriching experience for attendees.

Union Market District, recognized as one of Washington, DC’s fastest-growing neighborhoods, blends heritage with innovation. This vibrant hub offers a plethora of culinary delights, independent shops, and entertainment options, making it a must-visit destination in the capital.
