Budapest Opens a Three-Capital Danube Journey

Delegates will begin the programme aboard one of three ships: AmaSofia, Riviera Radiance or VIVA TWO.

Each ship will operate a two-night journey from Budapest to Vienna. Breakfast, dinner and entertainment will be included, while delegates will also have opportunities to experience the other participating vessels through onboard lunches.

The format places the Danube itself at the centre of the conference and gives travel professionals direct experience of river cruising between Hungary and Austria.

Bratislava Makes Its RiverView Debut

A major change for 2027 is the inclusion of Bratislava.

CLIA says RiverView will call at the Slovak capital for the first time during the two-night sailing. A networking trade fair will take place during the visit, while delegates will also be offered local excursions.

The addition places Slovakia directly within the RiverView itinerary alongside Hungary and Austria, creating a three-country tourism experience through one river journey.

Vienna Strengthens Its Position as a River Cruise Hub

Vienna will play the largest destination role once the sailing ends.

The Austrian capital will host RiverView’s business sessions and final overnight stay. Delegates will also be able to tour four additional ships represented by Avalon Waterways, TUI River Cruises, Scenic and Riverside Luxury Cruises.

This combination of conference sessions, overnight accommodation and ship inspections places Vienna at the heart of the 2027 programme.

Seven Cruise Brands Come Together on the Danube

RiverView 2027 will bring together ships and experiences associated with seven river cruise operators across the core programme.

The event will include AmaSofia, Riviera Radiance and VIVA TWO during the Budapest–Vienna sailing, followed by ship visits involving Avalon Waterways, TUI River Cruises, Scenic and Riverside Luxury Cruises in Vienna.

CLIA has also introduced a new “Lite” registration option running from March 6 to 8 for delegates seeking a shorter Vienna-based programme.

RiverView Marks Fifteen Years of European River Cruising

The 2027 edition marks RiverView’s 15th anniversary. Previous editions have taken place in Amsterdam, Budapest, Cologne, Paris and Vienna.

Registration will open during CLIA Cruise Week, beginning September 14, while VIVA Cruises will also offer a two-night pre-conference sailing aboard VIVA TWO.
