IHG Hotels & Resorts Expands in Egypt with New 250-Room Crowne Plaza Hotel Set to Open in New Cairo by 2031

IHG Hotels & Resorts is set to strengthen its presence in Egypt after entering into a management agreement with Kleek Development to introduce a new 250-room Crowne Plaza property in Sixth Settlement, New Cairo. Kleek Development is a joint venture between Emaar Al Delta for Contracting and Real Estate Investment and Modern Style Home Real Estate Company. Expected to welcome its first guests in the first quarter of 2031, Crowne Plaza New Cairo will further expand IHG’s premium hotel offering while responding to increasing demand for internationally recognised accommodation in the Egyptian capital.

The upcoming hotel will occupy a strategic location within one of New Cairo’s rapidly developing mixed-use areas, placing it close to emerging residential neighbourhoods, commercial centres and business communities. East Cairo continues to attract investment as infrastructure improvements, urban expansion and growing business activity reshape the district.
