Sundance Expands Beyond 600 Skiable Acres

The biggest change for the upcoming winter is the expansion of Sundance Mountain Resort’s skiable terrain.

The resort will operate more than 600 skiable acres during the 2026–2027 season, with over 60 acres of new terrain becoming available to guests.

This additional area will broaden the resort’s trail network and create more options for intermediate and advanced skiers. The expansion also supports the resort’s continuing effort to improve movement between different mountain zones.

A key element of the development is the new Electric Horseman high-speed quad. The lift will provide direct access to the entire back mountain and is expected to complete the journey in about six minutes.

Faster access should allow visitors to spend more time skiing and less time travelling between terrain areas.

New Storyteller Ridge Run Adds Longer Mountain Access

Another major addition is the Storyteller ridge run.

The new groomed trail extends for approximately 1.7 miles and creates an additional route across the mountain. It also provides access to three expert gladed chutes aimed at experienced skiers looking for more challenging terrain.

The combination of a long groomed run and nearby expert zones adds variety to the resort’s trail system. Returning visitors should notice a clear difference in how the back mountain can be accessed and explored compared with previous seasons.
