MIA Hospitality Management (MIAHM) is entering its second year after building a portfolio of seven hotels, one rooftop venue and more than 1,000 rooms during its first 12 months. The Miami-based owner-operator, founded in September 2025 by hotel developer and owner Robert Finvarb and hospitality executive Brian Vujnovic, has also secured its first third-party management agreement and gained approved franchise management company status with Marriott International and Hyatt.
The company was established around an owner-operator model designed to connect investment objectives with day-to-day hotel operations. Its leadership team brings 75 years of combined experience across development, acquisitions, hotel operations, revenue management, guest experience and food and beverage, with experience spanning 20 hotels across more than seven states and Washington, D.C.
Seven Hotels Form the Core of the Growing Platform
MIAHM’s current portfolio includes AC Hotel Miami Brickell, Element by Westin Miami Brickell, Hyatt Centric South Beach, Courtyard Miami Coconut Grove, SpringHill Suites Miami Downtown Medical District, Courtyard by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Airport & Cruise Port and Hyatt Place Melbourne Airport. More than 250 associates support the portfolio alongside a newly established above-property leadership structure.
The expansion gives MIAHM an operating base across several South Florida and Florida markets while allowing the company to apply a common approach to commercial performance, guest service and asset-level decision-making. The platform is also being developed to support properties before opening, rather than limiting the operator’s role to post-opening management.

Hyatt Place Melbourne Airport Opens a New Chapter
The addition of Hyatt Place Melbourne Airport on July 1, 2026, represented a significant milestone because the 143-room property became MIAHM’s first third-party management agreement. The relationship extends the company’s operating model beyond hotels owned by affiliates of its founders and introduces its development and ownership perspective to an external ownership partner.

MIAHM says its approach places particular emphasis on bottom-line performance, with management decisions assessed through cost, return and long-term asset value. That same financial discipline is being applied to food and beverage, which the company positions as a contributor to hotel performance rather than simply an ancillary guest amenity.
Runway Rooftop Brings Food and Beverage Into Focus
The Melbourne Airport agreement also brought Runway Rooftop Bar & Grill under MIAHM management, combining its hotel and food and beverage capabilities within one property. The company has more than five years of experience developing, owning and asset-managing rooftop hospitality concepts, including Charlie Park in Tallahassee and Rosa Sky in Miami.
At Runway, MIAHM is pursuing a repositioning centred on the local community. Plans include a refreshed menu influenced by local preferences, a rebuilt cocktail and wine programme and recurring weekly and monthly programming. The stated objective is to establish the venue as a destination for Space Coast residents rather than simply a hotel bar serving the property’s guests.

Pre-Opening Advisory Becomes Part of the Model
MIAHM is also extending its operating expertise into hotel development and pre-opening planning. Working with development teams while projects are still being designed, the company assesses how guestrooms, public spaces, restaurants, bars and back-of-house areas will operate together once a property opens.
This approach allows staffing requirements, service flows, guest circulation and revenue opportunities to be considered while design decisions remain flexible. The company is currently applying the model to a full-service lifestyle hotel under development in Florida that is planned to include a rooftop bar and lounge as well as a rooftop restaurant.

MIA Hospitality Management Targets Further Growth
As MIAHM begins its second year, the company is broadening its platform from a South Florida hotel portfolio into third-party management, destination food and beverage and pre-opening advisory services. Its first year has established an operating structure that combines ownership experience with hotel management capabilities across multiple brands and property types.
Over the next 24 months, MIAHM anticipates additional portfolio growth through a combination of new third-party management agreements and hotels owned by affiliates of its founders. The company’s expansion strategy therefore remains closely tied to its original owner-operator model, with food and beverage and early-stage operational planning forming increasingly important parts of its proposition.
