The new hotel in the United States has announced the appointments of Jakub Skyvara as General Manager and Tina Walters as Director of Sales & Marketing, bringing extensive experience across luxury hotels, lifestyle brands, sales strategy and hospitality operations.

As General Manager, Jakub Skyvara will be responsible for overseeing hotel operations and guiding the launch of M Social Hotel Sunnyvale. He brings more than two decades of international Hospitality leadership experience across North America, Europe and Asia.
Before joining M Social Hotel Sunnyvale, Skyvara served as General Manager of The Lodge at Torrey Pines, where he managed operations while maintaining AAA Five Diamond standards. His previous responsibilities included improving guest satisfaction, strengthening service culture and supporting overall property performance.
Skyvara’s professional background also includes leadership roles with internationally recognised luxury Hospitality brands, including Mandarin Oriental, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and Viceroy Hotels & Resorts. He has also held the position of Executive Assistant Manager at The Resort at Pelican Hill, adding further experience in luxury property management.
At M Social Hotel Sunnyvale, Skyvara will focus on creating a guest experience that reflects the creativity, innovation and energy associated with Silicon Valley. His role will include supporting operational excellence and developing a service approach aligned with the M Social lifestyle brand.

Tina Walters has been appointed as Director of Sales & Marketing at M Social Hotel Sunnyvale, bringing more than 30 years of experience in Hospitality, travel and account management. Her extensive industry background and connection with the Silicon Valley business community will support the hotel’s commercial strategy ahead of launch.
A Silicon Valley native, Walters has developed significant experience through leadership positions with several major Hospitality companies. Her career has included roles with Hyatt, Marriott, Hilton, Kimpton, Starwood, Hyatt Centric Santa Clara Silicon Valley and Hyatt Place Santa Barbara.
Walters has also previously led sales and marketing efforts for The Ameswell Hotel in Mountain View. Her experience in developing market strategies and managing Hospitality partnerships will support M Social Hotel Sunnyvale’s efforts to connect with business travellers, event organisers and visitors to the region.
The appointment is expected to strengthen the hotel’s sales and marketing operations as the property prepares to enter the United States Hospitality market. Through her leadership, the hotel will focus on building awareness and developing relationships across the Silicon Valley business and travel sectors.
M Social Hotel Sunnyvale is expected to feature 263 contemporary guestrooms, globally inspired dining concepts and approximately 24,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space. The property will include a 6,600-square-foot ballroom, which will become the largest hotel ballroom in Silicon Valley.
Located near Highway 101 and San Jose Mineta International Airport, the hotel has been designed to provide convenient access for both business and leisure travellers. Its location will connect guests with major corporate campuses and important destinations across the Bay Area.
The property will feature signature food and beverage concepts, including Beast and Butterflies, alongside spaces designed for social gatherings, business meetings and modern travel experiences.
M Social Hotel Sunnyvale is being positioned as a lifestyle destination where contemporary Hospitality meets the creativity and entrepreneurial atmosphere of Silicon Valley.
