Hilton has announced the appointment of Sean Clancy as the new general manager of Hilton San Diego Bayfront, the iconic waterfront property known for hosting leisure travellers, business guests and major conventions. With more than 30 years of hospitality leadership experience, Clancy will be responsible for managing the hotel’s overall operations, enhancing guest experiences, strengthening team engagement and driving business growth at one of San Diego’s leading hospitality destinations.

Clancy brings extensive expertise in managing large-scale resorts and city hotels, with a strong record of improving performance, building successful teams and delivering operational excellence. Before joining Hilton San Diego Bayfront, he served as vice president and general manager of a prominent San Diego waterfront resort, where he played a key role in repositioning the property after a major $127 million renovation. His leadership helped transform the resort into one of the city’s most recognised hospitality destinations.

Before taking on these senior roles, he spent eight years with Hilton, where he held key executive positions at two renowned Waldorf Astoria properties — the Arizona Biltmore and Boca Raton Resort & Club — strengthening his expertise in luxury hotel operations and guest experiences.
