Accor is making significant strides in expanding its presence across Asia, with 27 new hotel agreements and 8,117 rooms added to its portfolio since the start of the year. This growth spans twelve distinct brands across eight countries, ranging from India to South Korea and Japan, solidifying Accor’s reputation as a dominant force in the hospitality industry in Asia.

Central to Accor’s strategy are its premium, midscale, and economy (PM&E) segments, with established brands like Novotel and ibis continuing to adapt and meet the evolving demands of today’s travelers. Similarly, the premium sector is seeing a surge, led by brands such as Pullman and Mövenpick, which are carving a niche in this rapidly growing market segment.

Accor’s portfolio includes conversion-friendly brands like Mercure, Handwritten Collection, and ibis Styles, which are particularly appealing in Asia for their potential to quickly transform independent hotels into part of the Accor network, offering substantial growth opportunities through conversions.

In the luxury and lifestyle (L&L) segments, Accor boasts esteemed brands like Raffles, Fairmont, and Sofitel, alongside lifestyle brands such as Mondrian and SO/ under the Ennismore umbrella, which are expanding and gaining traction across the Asian hospitality landscape.

2024 has been a significant year for Accor in Asia, marked by numerous key signings. In Singapore, the company is expanding its presence with three new hotels, including Asia’s largest Mövenpick, the first Mövenpick Living in Singapore, and the Hotel D’Art Singapore – Handwritten Collection. This addition underscores the increasing popularity of the Handwritten Collection’s unique offerings in the market.

This development is part of Accor’s broader strategy to enhance its footprint in India, a market with substantial growth potential.

Indonesia continues to be a focal point for Accor, with new properties like the Kapuk Hills Hotel Jakarta – Handwritten Collection and Novotel Medan enhancing its strong position in the Indonesian hospitality market.
