Munich Airport’s 2023 performance marked a significant rebound in air traffic post-pandemic and a return to profitability. Titled “MOVING OUR WORLD,” the airport’s 14th integrated report highlights the pivotal developments of the year.
The report provides a comprehensive and transparent overview of Munich Airport’s business activities, encompassing economic, ecological, and social dimensions. It also outlines forward-looking initiatives and projects dedicated to sustainable development, presenting a holistic picture of the airport’s operations and strategic planning.
“The integrated report shows how much is happening at the airport again and how we are making our company fit for the future with a large number of innovations. We expect traffic figures to continue to rise and want to be prepared for this as a company in the best possible way,” explains Jost Lammers, CEO of Munich Airport.
Munich Airport’s latest integrated report offers a detailed overview of its financial performance, employment data, and environmental initiatives. An accompanying online film features the airport’s management discussing their forward-thinking strategies for long-term sustainability.
Consistent with previous years, the report adheres to the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards, the leading framework for sustainability reporting. An independent auditing firm has reviewed much of the sustainability information. The printed version of the report, expected in August, will be produced on recycled paper, aligning with the airport’s eco-efficient practices.
